:welcome:

This group is designed for those of us over 30 yrs of age. We have a different TTC journey than our younger counterparts & many of us encounter challenges along the way to our coveted BFP. We invite all to join us as we offer advice, support & encouragement to each other thru these challenges, as well as celebrating those joyful BFPs.
:bliss:

While this thread is not necessarily labeled as a "struggling TTC" thread, we do ask that if you choose to join us that you remain mindful of the challenges that many of our members are experiencing when posting about BFPs. We are excited to celebrate everyone's BFP, though it can often be a sensitive issue for those for whom it has not been so easy. :goodvibes:

I'll try to update your status daily, but let me know if I missed you! If I don't hear from you for a few weeks I'll take you off the list. Just post with an update to be re-added.

Question of the week:What kind of pets do you have & what are their names?

Anyone can answer the question! And if you have suggestions for the QOTW send me a PM. :)

In RED, tell me:
Your handle (and your name and/or age if you'd like)
Where you are in your cycle or if you're waiting for AF to return
Whether you are actively TTC or waiting right now.
**I will look for a change in your status in red throughout the week.**

Re: TTC 30+ Sept. 10-16

Carrie- Wow- that does sound like an emotional roller coaster. ;) I might be dealing with the same soon- if we EVER actually get to transfer!?!?! I will be on Crinone too. I'm a little afraid now though...

Alicia- I have felt like giving up too- I started a thread in the Struggles forum. It seems crazy to keep trying at something for so long. I guess I keep going back to trying once more so that we don't regret. I'm so sorry you are feeling worn out by TTC. Maybe just taking a step back for a month or two would help? I've had forced breaks from TTC and it is nice to focus on something else for a little bit.

leviandgarettsmom 09-09-2012 09:35 PM

I started this a little early as I have a crazy busy day tomorrow. Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday.

:welcome: to all the new moms who have joined us this past week. If you haven't already, please be sure & ready over the introductory/original post. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me. :goodvibes:

AFM: I'm 11 dppositiveopk :giggle: & nothing going on to get excited about. I'm just ready to move on. I'm tired of feeling like an emotional train wreck for nothing. I really wish God would just change my heart.

ETA: QOTW-We have 2 dogs...a boston terrier named Buster & a bichon frise named Triton. :)

Oi, I've been on the Crinone every cycle, but have never been this bad. 11DPO for me & still bfn...so when DP asked how I was feeling, my response was "bereft". This has been a really, really rough cycle for me & the moods aren't helping. It does have me thinking about an IVF cycle...I don't really like my RE practice, but they have a good success rate & relatively reasonable prices, so it could be an option, I guess.

ETA--QOTW: We have a dog named Rufus; he's a 7 y.o. miniature poodle/Cavalier King Charles spaniel mix. I didn't think I was a little dog person until I had them; I love that they are manageable, get their exercise running in the yard, don't really shed, are easy to bathe, etc. We've been talking about adding a second dog, but I'm not ready to commit. We also have 2 cats (Cassie & Mitchie); they're probably about 11 yrs old. They're boy/girl littermates that we took in from stray/feral when we lived in a small city. They're great cats, but now that they're getting older, they're getting slow & fat & crotchety & they pick on the dog. At one point we had 2 dogs and 5 cats...way too many!

7 dpo...itching to test.

QOTW: We have 2 dogs, a German Shorthair Pointer named Dixie and a Great Pyrennes named Blanca, and a leopard gecko whose name changes daily. :giggle2:

12 dpo & BFN. Breast are really sore this morning, but obviously its still just the progesterone. I don't think it could be any more cruel!!!

QOTW: No dogs here. 2 cats, Rudy and Birdie. My mom has their sister Violet. I also feed 3 strays - Charles, Sam and Vader. Someday, when we have a big house, my husband would like a Newfoundland. He grew up with those.

Re: TTC 30+ Sept. 10-16

Newfoundland was one of the breeds we looked at...but we settled on St. Bernard instead. We currently have 2 dogs (Boomer the Saint, and Baron a husky/german shepard mix) and a rabbit, Slippers. She is 10 years old and her mission in life is to never die we think.

CD8 already for me, not sure how that went by so fast. I'm suffering from the most awful headache, which I don't think is a migraine, but it is bad. 800mg of motrin barely takes the edge off, and they have been happening the last few months during AF. The only thing different I could think of is that I have been taking vitex...

Re: TTC 30+ Sept. 10-16

QOTW: We have two cats. A black short-hair named Sid (short for Obsidian), and an orange long-hair named Jasper. Sid is a daddy's boy and Jasper is a mama's boy, as in, Sid sleeps on DH's head and Jasper sleeps on my head. At least the love is spread around. :giggle2:

AFM: Heading back to the doctor today to see how things are progressing with this m/c. I'm feeling like things are back to normal with my body, so I hope that means my levels have gone down and I will O soon. OPKs are in the mail, so I haven't gotten to POAS yet. Judging by CP and CM, though, it hasn't happened yet.

I know what you're saying, it did get too much for me a few months ago and took a month off but at this point I feel like at my age I can't waste any more time KWIM so I either need to decide to keep going or quit. It took me 4 years of fertility to get PG with my 1st LO and I just don't think I can go though all that again. I got PG with glucophage/clomid with my first 3 kids. Thinking about doing meds for a couple months and if that doesn't work I think I'll just have to accept that this is it for me. JUst always thought when I stopped having kids it would be because I decided to, not because I can't have any more:banghead:

Sorry mama:hugs: I wish I could have my heart feel done as well so I didn't feel the need to keep doing this to myself every month but it just doesn't. If anything I just feel defeated.

CD23- 2-3 DPO and still spotting, seems to be getting heavier at times though. I think that AF is just toying with me, but either way I know I'm done this month.

Hoping someone is having better luck then me this month.
