Early pregnancy and supply dip?
I thought my supply was dipping and I started drinking the Mother's Milk teas. Then i found out I was preggo (8 weeks now) and the supply issue made more sense. Today baby had her checkup and shes losing weight and fallen off the charts. Doctor was really concerned and wants me to start giving her formula (in addition to breastmilk, not replacing it.) Anyone else have this issue, and what helped?

Re: Early pregnancy and supply dip?
I got pregnant when DS was 9 months, and my supply disappeared almost immediately. I didn't know it and DS ended up losing 3lbs from his already small frame. He refused every single formula we offered, as soon as he tasted it he would throw a fit, same thing with any kind of milk. He was also at a stage where he would chew on and explore foods, but not actually swallow them. It was very difficult to deal with getting him to eat, he loved yogurt and oatmeal as things he would actually ingest, but he quickly tired of them.

I'm not sure if any of this helps you, but I guess my biggest advice would be to always keep the foods you try get your LO to eat varied. Don't let her get tired of anything because then she maybe reject it for a long time. I hope that your LO will take formula or a milk, it would definitely make your life easier in terms of getting worthwhile calories into your baby.

Re: Early pregnancy and supply dip?
I had a supply dip , but only for a week or too, but around 12 weeks i pretty much lost it all completely. and i think that happens to quite a few people. Luckily DD was right at a year old, so i was ok to wean her.
You can try more milk two:
I think its really the only supplement you can take while pregnant.
Eat your oatmeal and drink lots of water. Make sure you are eating enough too. I never ate much extra while nursing, but when i was preggo and nursing, man, i was hungry all the time!
