Teething HELP please!!!
My 7 1/2 month old just got his first tooth saturday. he had been mildly fussy and drooly, chewing on everything. up till then, he's been sleeping about 7-8 hours a night, going to sleep on his own and just waking to eat.

Sunday night, he was basically crying all night. it seemed like nothing would help him. we changed him, cuddled him, tried rocking him to sleep, tylenol, orajel, teething tablets, everything we could think of. (he wears an amber necklace already) we barely got any sleep. same story with monday night. tuesday night started off the same, but my husband decided to feed him right when he woke up and started crying and give him meds. after that, he would just fuss for a few minutes and go back to sleep. so, tuesday night and wednesday night were like that, with him eating at 11, 3, and 6/7.

He has seemed like a normal teething baby during the daytime, and we never had any issues like this with my older son.

Anyone have any suggestions for other teething remedies or whatever that could help us out??
(please don't tell me bad things about the meds i have given...we give them responsibly and know all the facts)

Did you try infant Ibuprofen? It lasts 6-8 hours.Tylenol does very little for my not-so-good teether.

This sounds exactly like my 7 1/2 month old. And she's been running fever up to 100.5. Makes me wonder if she's sick also but had her at dr Tuesday and he said no ear infection, croup or flu.

Hope yours is feeling better soon!

When my son is teething (which seems like 100% of the time) I find that ANYTHING cold makes him feel better. Like when you're up in the middle of the night give home a cold washcloth and run it over his gums. Also rubbing them is good too, just watch out for the bite!
