good morning wool loving mamas! Yesterday I learned to knit and am doing pretty good if I do say so myself ;) Well, I could knit when I was a girl but haven't done it in ages. My "goals" with knitting are to be able to make soakers, longies and skirties. I'd also like to make hats, mittens, Christmas Stockings and kid sweaters, but that will come later :giggle:

My stitches are looking really nice on my test swatches and I'm hoping that by the weekend I am ready to move to a soaker :yippie:

I hope I can join in with you :) I've loved woolies for months and am excited at the prospect of making my own :)

Good morning! This is my first time jumping into one of these threads but I figure I should go ahead and start, lol!

I am positively giddy because this is coming to my house. I had an old, ugly home made one that I've been using, until my kids broke it beyond repair this weekend. I'd put off ordering a really nice one because I couldn't justify it - the old ugly one worked just fine, kwim? :giggle:

Anyway, I finally had an excuse to justify buying a new one and I fell in love with that one. I can't wait for it to come!!:lostit:

I think I did great! Tell me what you think! OK - here it is:

the yarn colorway is "toadstool" BFL. I used the free tiny birds soaker pattern because it was free and a flat design. I am going to try an "in the round" next time.:lostit:

Any suggestion? Thanks!:giggle2:

I was just eyeing that up Amy. Good Luck on your glucose test. I hated mine and I had to do the second one too. yuck.

I am going to work on my Oswald the octopus crochet today.

Great job! Congrats!
I'm a pretty new knitter too, but everything I've made has been in the round. I think it's a lot easier, and it's nice not to have to purl so much.
