Re: NTNP February 3rd - February 9th

Question of the week: What do you think is a super fun way to announce pregnancy?

Answer: Well I always think that it would be fun to think of a really creative way to tell DH but then I can never keep it to myself for more than an hour or so lol. With our first we told our parents by giving them each a bib and then letting them figure it out. :)

I am bowing out for now ladies. My body is just out of whack and I need to step back and figure out what's going on. <3 Thanks for having me though :) I will probably lurk and be a cheerleader though :D

AOTW, With this pregnancy, since I am due sometime around DH'S birthday I made a car and I wrote, happy birthday 2013 on it and taped the test inside.

Ash sorry about the short LP if you remember mine was 4 days for the longest time, I was taking all kinds of supplements to lengthen, but with the move I stopped taking everything even my vitamins, the DD turned 1 and surprise I got preggo, so maybe this month or next you LP will just lengthen.
Hoping for more BFPs today

:( Sorry!!! I was hoping we'd be together again. Don't go too far!!

momEmac 02-04-2013 12:52 PM

My DH won't let me test without him, so there is no hiding it from him. Lol. With DS we just told family over the phone. With the next one I'm going to come up with something cute to do with him, I'm not sure what though.

On another note, I have had some extreme thirst (major cotton mouth at night the last 2 nights) and little bit of random heartburn and I only have those things when pregnant. I really thought we stopped preventing too late this cycle, but now I feel like my body is playing tricks on me. DH doesn't want me to test till after I've missed af, so I have to wait till next week to know for sure since my cycle is all over the place, I'm somewhere between 8-10 dpo now. Ugh, I hate waiting!

My iDevices are out to get me. Please excuse mistakes. :)

Man you have some amazing willpower!!! I always tell myself I am just gonna wait until I am late. But those darn tests won't leave me along! Hoping and praying your wait gives you a special surprise!!

AOTW - I stink at being creative. I can never remember not to tell until I have thought of something fun to do. :giggle2:

:hugs: I'm not going far. It's just going to be better for me if I step back a little bit. I think I just had a 15 day cycle so something needs fixing. :(

Thanks ladies :)

I'm not very creative at all. DH has just walked in to the bathroom and found the test(s), carries it out and asks 'is this what I think it is?'.

I think I'm stressing myself out. I'm hardly sleeping at night anymore. Having another in the near future will be rough...we are already struggling as it is. Part of me wants to test and part of me is afraid to. My cycles have always been wonky (even on bc) so this could all be nothing. Maybe at the two month mark (2-18) I will test...

For the next one I plan to get crafty and make arrows (with dowel rods) with our children's' names and one with a F (most likely the next baby's initial) and possibly the pregnancy test on it and make some kind of quiver and put them in and give it to DH. :) This is reference to Psalms 127:3-5.

AFM: I'm in PAIN. Each day has gotten worse since the fall. :cry5: With out ibuprofen I pretty much can't do anything. It STINKS to be hurt, but I don't see any way we'll be DTD any time soon and O should be by this week end. My computer has virus problems, so I'm a little out of the loop. Hopefully it will be in full working order and back with me to stay soon. :)

That is really cute :) Thanks for the encouragement, I really appreciate it! We have been looking to put our house on the market, so maybe all we need to get a BFP is a move :)

Do you want me to move you to the BFP's? Just let me know!

That is a really cool idea! I hope you are feeling better soon, can you go to the Dr. just to make sure everything is ok? Saying a prayer for you :goodvibes:

Ooh! Good topic! I think this time around I'll have to come up with something good. Last time, my husband was deployed so I had to tell him over the phone (he quite literally left the day after I ovulated). Thanks for giving me something to think about...

As for me, I started my period!!! We night weaned about 6 weeks ago and I finally got my cycle back! Here's hoping I ovulate soon. :)

Yay for your cycle returning! I am starting to think that the only way I'm going to get it back is night or day weaning. I seriously don't see that happening anytime soon. Ds is so attached to the boob.

I just told SO last time so I definitely want to do something fun next time, especially since none of my family or friends will be happy aout it so he's the only one I can do an exciting reveal for. I literally have NO ideas though.

Re: NTNP February 3rd - February 9th

Too tired to read the whole thread right now, but I just thought the whole idea was awesome. I'd love to do something creative next time.

The last, well, 4 times, I wasn't too creative about it. Then again, with my second I was so sick that I was just happy to see a positive test so I could stop feeling like there was something wrong with me. I didn't test positive until 2 weeks after my missed period, so I was starting to think that maybe there was something else wrong with me that had me glued next to the toilet and unable to eat or drink anything but gingerale, green tea, and crackers. I'd just called my doctor the day before to set up an appointment. When I finally got the positive she was so excited that she had to call me back right away and congratulate me and said she hoped this meant I didn't need to see her after all, even though she loved when my daughter and I would visit.

My boyfriend was there when I tested with the last two, so he knew pretty much when I did. When we found out I was pregnant with our first together I don't think I could have kept it a secret anyways. His other son was born a month earlier and his ex-wife wouldn't even send him a picture. It was rough, so the news was great.

Next time I'm going to make sure I'm super stealthy about testing. I'm thinking about taking an eyeliner and doing the Intel insignia from their old commercials and drawing that on my belly, but saying "Baby Inside". I might have to do it upside-down...or maybe I'll just see if I can recruit some help. I think he'd totally get a kick out of it, even though he'd take AMD over Intel any day!

I'm trying not to get too caught up in all of this because my period still isn't back after having the baby. I've been feeling really hormonal lately. I've been hungry all the time. My pants are a feeling a bit tight again, which is making me cranky. I've got all kinds of crazy insomnia. To top it all off, I've been having these weird fluttering feelings in my gut that I know is just probably gas, but my brain keeps going, "But maybe..." I know these are also normal symptoms right before I get my period too. Somewhere in my mind I keep telling myself that my baby's only 7 months old. I should be fine with waiting it out until my period comes back and my body gets back to normal, so why am I getting my hopes up over potentially nothing? Not knowing what to expect since my cycle hasn't appeared to start yet, I'm finding I'm totally attached to this whole thing. I guess it's because I don't want any more after I hit 35, and my birthday is looming...maybe I'm just fixating on it too much. I mean, my cycle started again with all my others at 6 months, but they also nursed less than the little guy does by this point. He's highly addicted to the boob. I think once my birthday passes I'll be a lot more okay with just letting it happen and not feel like it's got to happen right this instant.

Anyhow, way sidetracked. I guess I just felt I really had to talk to someone and I figure there's at least someone here who would understand.

This is pretty much how I feel. Every month I start to get all the symptoms and then after I convince yself that the tests really are negative I'm like thats fine..not pregnant..for a couple weeks. Then the process starts all over again. DS is 12 months and I feel like he nurses like a 6 month old still. I love our nursing relationship but I do really wish he would just choose to stop nursing as much.

AFM- I think today is a little better! Most say takes a year to start feeling normal again, I'm nervous what this means for another pregnancy and delivery. I'll see how long I can go this morning with out ibuprofen! It's been 13 hours and I'm not in tears or biting my lip...that's def a improvement! I've not been checking my CM because of the pain and inflammation in the region, but did see some yesterday heading towards EWCM, would be nice to get a try in for me a Nov b-day present! ;)

So sorry cormama. That's so upsetting. :( I hope you are doing as well as you can.

Mrsash- you poor thing. I hope it continues getting better and you can get a nov bfp.

Fishing- Congrats!!

I'm sorry if I missed anyone. :(

I'm sick with a head cold and that so kills the mood for dtd. We haven't been too active so I'll be pretty surprised if it happens this month. Though maybe a little girl spermy will be determined enough to get the job done. Haha.

Re: NTNP February 3rd - February 9th

I think it's fun to get shirts, or have mama hold a sign that says something related to baby.

I still belong here, but think I may be pregnant right now.
My period has not been 28 days since last April (ish). It's started anywhere from 3-7 days early and recently I've been having 13 days straight of bleeding. I spot for 5-6 days and then have a full period.
Friday/Saturday will be 28 days and no period yet... I don't know if my period is just now leveling out, or if I'm pregnant. I test yesterday and it was negative. I'm going to test again on Thur/Fri. I have tender breasts and have just had this feeling of being pregnant for about a week now!
Oh and we DTD on a Thursday Night and I ovulated somewhere between Fri and Sun. So... it's VERY possible, but my luteal phase had been like 6-7 days before, so I didn't know if it was possible.

I'm not breastfeeding. I had to stop pumping around 10 weeks pp. That's when my period returned too (around 12-13 weeks).

I'm probably 10-12dpo right now today. I got a + with my son at 10dpo and it was quite dark... So I don't know since yesterday's test was -. Then again my ICs expire this month at some point.
If I don't start on Saturday (or by then) I'll get to the store and get a better test.

Oh and I don't temp/opk at all. We're not really trying, not really preventing either. Just going with the flow.

Glad to read you are feeling a bit better MrsAsh!

Congratulations to those w/a bfp...

And I'm sorry cormama :hugs:

AFM, I don't know if the lack os sleep is because of being 'late' as DH has been having trouble sleeping also. Kids haven't been behaving all that well lately. We're broke, we live with his parents...we are just super stressed.....

Well the in laws would be happy. Our financial situation is pretty crappy right now but there is light at the end of the tunnel. We are also living with my in laws which is financial but also b/c SO's dad isn't well and he wants to be close to him. My family just thinks now would be a horrible time for us to have another. A small part of me feels guilty for wanting another but a bigger part of me knows things will work out and that another person will join our family when the time is right.

Haha.

I hope you feel better soon! Go girly sperms!! ;)

I like the shirt idea :) FX for you! Keep us updated :)

I love this perspective :) Sometimes it is hard not to stress about having another baby, but then I have to remember that God has it all under control and that if and when it is supposed to happen, it will.

Oh and I saw that you live in Colorado :) DH and I went there on our honeymoon and LOVED it! It is beautiful there :)

Well we actually just moved to Virginia about 3 months ago, I need to change that! :giggle: Colorado was really cool though. Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We were in Winter Park :)

We stayed at this really nice place called the Wild Horse Inn. I would go back in a heart beat! Where were you at?

We were in the south, near Pueblo. We were only there for a few months before deciding to move ot Va but we really liked it. We're definitely considering going back one day. The cost of living was really really low too. My uncle lives in Steamboat Springs up in the rockies...it is SO beautiful there.

Took me last (my last, I'm not a pirate :)) IC this morning, but they expire this month, so it inspired me to head to Dollar Tree and get 5 tests. Took one with 3mu (but I haven't drank much today) and it was negative. I have 4 more to test with for now. I will test again on Saturday if AF is a no show...

Right before I got pregnant with E I was 4 days late, but getting negative tests and my blood was black, so I think it was a very early loss. Hoping that's not the same thing here.
I'm hoping my period is returning to normal (or that I'm pregnant) because I want my 28 day cycle and 5-7 days of bleeding back. No more of this 13 day bleeding crap!

That does sound stressful. We had lived with my mom for a couple of weeks between homes and it was NO FUN. Hoping the days get a little more relaxed for you all.

AFM: Today is my DD's 1st birthday! It is crazy to think that a year ago today I was 41 weeks pregnant and thinking I was never going to have my baby. Crazy how fast the time goes, but I am so thankful for the past year with my sweet girl!

Awe, happy birthday to your little girl! I love first birthdays!

AFM: (I just figured out that acronym, lol). I'm still waiting to test, DH has agreed we can test Monday if AF isn't here yet. I won't really consider myself late till next Wednesday since my cycle has been anywhere from 26-31 days. Today is 26 days. The last couple months I started spotting two days before af started and sign of that this morning yet. I can tell my hormones are going crazy, I just don't know if I'm having major PMS symptoms (it's usually not this bad) or if I'm pregnant. I am still doubtful that we conceived because of how the dates line up, but it's still a possibility since I'm not positive of when I o'd. I'm driving myself nuts going round and round (I think I'm pregnant, no there's no way I'm pregnant, well....maybe it's possible, yes the dates say its possible but not likely, but it's still possible, maybe I really am pregnant, I really want jalapeņos, argh!)

My iDevices are out to get me. Please excuse mistakes. :)
