Re: Pregnancy After Loss (April)

I had some brown stretchy cervical mucus today when I wiped. Should I be concerned? I've been having a lot of cervical mucus this pregnancy but today I had a little that was kind of a light brownish tint. EVen though the ultrasound looked good and the baby was active and had a good hb, I'm feeling really down and worried now. This has ruined my day.

from my experience, brown has been old blood and has never led to anything sinister. it's always the bright red blood that meant bad news for me. :(

Re: Pregnancy After Loss (April)

Thanks for the reassurance! I feel like it could have been a number of reasons, like my urine was an orange colour due partially to vitamins I took and dehydration I'm thinking. Plus it wasn't on my panties and didn't leave a spot, even on the tp. It was really sticky and just kind of stuck together without leaving a spot on anything, and it only came out when I wiped. Anyway... I have a check up tomorrow so I'll tell my doctor but I'm going to try not to worry about it right now.

I agree.. brown blood is usually old blood and doesn't mean anything alarming. :goodvibes:

I can't believe it's April already either... and Elena is ready to pop! :)

How is Marie? I tried to scroll through the old thread, but it was so long I couldn't find how she is doing?

Ha, ha. You realize we are actually one week into April even though the new thread was just started :giggle2:

I'll definitely be thinking about you this week!

AFM: We finished moving my 5 yr old DS into his own space to make way for baby to join DD in her room. I finally feel like I can start getting ready for her. Gotta find the baby clothes and toys, wash the diapers. Not too much to do I guess. Which is good cause I've been feeling pretty tired lately and trying to take it easy because of my blood pressure issues. Last week I was talking with some friends about how I'm feeling and I mentioned how exhausting it was just for me to vacuum our tiny bathroom. Well today one of them told me she is gonna come clean my house this week. What a blessing! This place could use a good vacuuming and dusting, but I just don't have the energy to do it. I'd never ask someone to come clean my house, but was so happy (and relieved) when she offered out of the blue. :)

I'm both excited... and terrified. I can totally understand Sarah posting about her fears right before birth - that something was going to happen. Everything is fine right now, and I know I have no control over what is going to happen... but I just want this all to be okay so badly that it feels like something has to go wrong, kwim?
I'm pretty sure nothing is imminent though. I figure I went to 41+4 with Levi, so it's probably not gonna happen anytime too terribly soon this time.

Uh... No. Definite NO on the room. Hiccup won't have his own room, he'll be in with us for the first year or 2. Levi is still in our room right now, so there's no room to get things set up for Hiccup at all.
DH and FIL started DD's room downstairs over spring break - 2 weeks and counting... the room isn't near finished yet. We need that done, she'll move down there, then Levi will move from our room to her old room, kwim? Then there'll be room for Hiccup in our room.

:hugs: That is so darn scary. Everything and everyone would say brown means old, and it shouldn't mean anything... but I would be scared out of my wits.
 for your bean.

SHH!!!!! :giggle:

That is a wonderful blessing! How awesome of her! That's something that's weighing heavily on my mind - I really don't want to bring Hiccup home to the house unless it's cleaned up. I just don't feel like it's safe for a newborn to be breathing paint and drywall dust, kwim? But I'm the only one who cleans - so if Hiccup comes before the reno is done and noone cleans... what then?!
