Your best chocolate chip cookie recipe...GO!

I usually use the one on the back of the chocolate chip bag:blush:... but the one I bought didn't have a recipe!:banghead:
I like them to stay soft (I usually subtract 1-2 mins of baking time) and I'm not dealing with allergies. I'm even open to oatmeal chocolate chip... so whatcha got, mamas!?

I make them a bit smaller than the recipe calls for and I cut the cook time by 2 min :)

This is my favorite. It is from America's Test Kitchen:
Makes 20 Large cookies
3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 sticks unsalted butter (they say melted and cooled, but I usually just use at room temp)
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 large egg yokes
1 Tbs vanilla
12 oz chocolate chips

1) Adjust the oven rack to upper and lower middle positions and heat the oven to 325 degrees. Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together and set aside.
2) Beat the butter and sugars in a large bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed until combined. Beat in the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla until combined scraping down the bowl and beaters as needed.
3) Reduce the mixer speed to low and slowly mix in the flower mixture until combined. Add in chocolate chips.
4) Working with 1/4 cup of dough at a time, roll the dough into balls and lay on two parchment lined baking sheets, spaced about 2 1/2 inches apart. Bake until the edges are golden but centers are soft and puffy, 17-20 minutes, rotating and switching the baking sheets halfway through baking. (I have also made these as more normal sized cookies and they are still awesome. Just bake them for about 10-12 min instead)
5) Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 10 minutes, then serve or transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy :)

:roflmbo: I'm not alone!!!! I seriously stood in my kitchen like an idiot staring at the back of the bag thinking "what do I do NOW!!!?" I've never gotten chocolate chips that didn't have a recipe. I was baffled.
