Raising a Thankful Child

We try to make sure our kids have a sense of gratitude, but honestly it can be a challenge. I enjoyed this brief article from Zero to Three, a really excellent website that focuses on developmental topics for kids up to 36 months old.

Great article. This is something we really strive for but is hard especially during the holidays. We only get them a few gifts for Christmas and Birthdays and we try to make them quality ones. I don't even know how you get a young child to stay interested long enough to open 20 presents.

We have for a long time asked the kids to say what they are thankful for at breakfast each morning. It starts the day off with a feeling of gratitude (and being an everyday thing makes for some interesting answers :giggle: )
