Cooking a lot of chicken at one time...
I have a little more than 10 lb. of boneless, skinless chicken breast that I need to cook for some recipes that I have. They all call for shredded or cubed cooked chicken. I don't want to just boil it...
I have heard that chicken just falls apart when cooked in a Crock Pot, so I was thinking maybe put them all in the there...I have one, but not a lot of experience using it. Would I need to add anything to them? Maybe a little water or chicken broth? How much? Do they need to be defrosted first, or can I stick them all in there frozen? Thanks for the help! |

I would put it equal water/chicken broth. Frozen is fine it will just take a little longer to cook. I place mine in frozen all the time.

Any idea how much liquid?

I add about an inch but that's it.

I'd add just enough water or broth to cover in the crock pot. Also, keep an eye on it. I bet they are done in 4 hours or so since they are boneless skinless breasts.
