Sun detergent
I thought Sun was one of the no-no detergents, but I've seen a couple different ppl talk about using it. I've only been cd'ing for a couple weeks, so I'm still learning. Can someone clarify? I'd love to be able to use Sun because I use it for the rest of my laundry, but have avoided it like the plague for my dipes.

 I've been wondering this too. Maybe someone will answer if I bump it up.

Re: Sun detergent
regular sun detergent is not good for dipes, but sun FREE is a link to tons of good, okay, and avoid detergents:

Re: Sun detergent
I emailed the makers of Sun (Huish) and asked about enzymes and whiteners/brighteners. The plain liquid Sun, not the concentrated version, has brighteners but no enzymes. I saw somewhere online say that there were enzymes in it which is untrue and often what makes a detergent a no-go. They said that they're required to disclose enzymes on the labeling so if there were any in the detergent it would be on the label.

We've used Sun for 20 months with no issues. I wish I could find Sun Free but as of yet haven't been able to. I don't care for the smell of it but it works so I've stuck with it.

Re: Sun detergent
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I haven't seen Sun-Free, so I'll just keep using Baking soda, Dawn, and vinegar unless I have a problem with it.
