using search....
 

When I try to use search there are times when nothing will come up at all and it is a very broad search that you will think would bring up something!

Then lately my main problem is when I use search It brings up stuff from Aug. and later when I am really wanting something from today-later KWIM?

For instance I searched " Flips" and I have stuff from aug as the earliest search result when I am pretty certian they have been discussed more recently.

Is there something I am doing wrong??

I've had the same problem for awhile. What really bugs me are the out-of date links that you mentioned, though. Why would (only) threads from last year pop up, when the same thing has been mentioned as recently as yesterday? It makes no sense.

I know, I don't even use the search function anymore unless I don't care about the date of the posts (like recipes and such).

It really sucks!

Are you ladies using the advanced search option? The regular search does stink.Advanced *should* get you the info you want :thumbsup:

I have that same problem, and I AM using the advanced search. For example I searched Tots Bots and got threads from the summer. When in fact there was a thread from the day of my search with one for sale.

I just tried two separate searches using advanced and regulars, and both times the advanced worked and took me to new posts starting from today, whereas the regular took me to August. I had thought I tried that but I guess not. Thank you!!
