Got my new flat rate envelopes - LOVE THEM!! Pics

I ordered the new flat rate envelopes from the USPS website (they aren't at the PO). They are FREE to order and FREE shipping :lostit:
the link is www.shop.usps.com I found the padded envelopes under the flat rate supplies option but the legal size I had to search for. They too about a week to get to me and I got a shipping notice when they went out. To mail something in them is the same price as a regular flat rate envelope $4.95 or of you ship through paypal $4.75 and dc is free
here are some pics :)
I used 4 BGE with doublers in them
Here is the regular flat rate envelope with the legal one underneath and the padded one next to them

Here is the regular flat rate envelope with 3 BGE in it - a tight fit

and smooshed - it will close with a little mooshing

Here is the Legal size FRE with 4 (FOUR) BGE in it - a nice fit

and smooshed - closes easily

And here is the padded with 4 (FOUR) BGE in it (2 in the back and 2 in the front - a nice fit as well

and smooshed - will close easily as well

I can see a LOT of great deals coming with these envelopes...you can easily fit a good amount in them without even trying.

Some post offices will not deliver them since the envelope is not "flat." I have been told that at my local PO for the cardboard ones and think they will say the same about these new ones.

The boxes do have to be flat but they had an advertisement up for the envelopes saying "it doesn't have to be flat to be flat rate." The envelopes are definitely the way to go, I need to order some of the padded ones.

Interesting video of a woman arguing with a postal employee about what can/ cannot go into these flat rate envelopes...

okay - if you have problems with your PO...print this out...it says this:

- Up to 70 pounds.
- No more than 108 inches in combined length and girth.
combined is measure the longest side plus the measurement all the way around the widest part
