"Earlier" babies... did you know labor was coming?

Has anyone that went into labor before 38-40 weeks just known that they were going to go into labor early? Like anywhere from 34-37 weeks?

I went into labor a little early (36 w, 2 d) and had no idea. Labor just came suddenly (I had had no brazton hicks, I was spotting brown a tiny bit because DS and I DTD the night before, but I didn't think much of it) It was a crazy feeling! I had a homebirth and we were no where near prepared. We actually had to call friends to go buy us plastic (for the bed and under the tub) and a few other things. I had it so set in my head that I'd go late.

I went into labor at 36 weeks with my second. The night before we we're eating dinner at my MIL's house where all our baby stuff was and I had this really big urge to take everything home with us. I kept telling everyone I needed it. They all laughed and told me to wait until the weekend I still had four weeks. Next morning at 5am my water broke.

DD was born at 35w, 6d and I felt very different in the last few days, but didn't think she was coming. Nesting hit pretty hard, and I felt very zen (and heavy). Incredibly more calm than at any other time in my pregnancy. I was completely clueless, DH freaked out when I lost my plug but I assured him it was no big deal. Even ignored my broken water the next morning for a few hours because "I still have a month, I'll be fine!" LOL!

I was on bed rest from 30 weeks and I had my son at 33 weeks, 6 days. I couldn't tell anything different except that day I felt a little more restless. It was a full moon and a huge thunderstorm, so I think that may have played part. I'm in a relatively small town and the nurses said there were 52 babies born that night.
