B-vitamins and trouble sleeping?

Anyone else taking b-vitamins have this issue? I started taking a whole food b-complex in the mornings for m/s, but ever since, I've been having trouble sleeping. It makes sense since b vitamins are supposed to be an energy booster, however I just can't give them up because within about 3-4 days of taking them, my m/s all but disappeared! Fortunately I'm no feeling too drowsy in the day, though it still stinks to be restless until the wee hours when I KNOW my body needs the rest!

When are you taking them? I find it's best to take them in the morning and no later than noon. If I do take them late, I can't sleep either.

Yup that'll do it. Last pregnancy I took some emergence in the evening and it kept me up most of the night. My m/w told me it was the B vitamins.

Oh well - guess it's worth it to feel better during the day! 9am is about the latest I'll take it, usually between 7-8. I don't think I can take it much earlier!

You could try drinking Chamomile Tea at night. I had insomnia for a bit and found drinking Chamomile Tea with Red Raspberry Leaf Tea a couple hours before bedtime that it generally helped with the relaxing and falling asleep.

The Red Raspberry Leaf part though, some people find it's a controversial herb in the first trimester as some have blamed it for miscarriage. I haven't had any issues and I know lots who haven't. But others have had some. Just letting you know. Chamomile Tea is safe though and is what really helps with the getting sleepy bit.

Ooooh... good idea! I'll give the tea a shot, but I think I'll hold of on the red raspberry leaf for now. :)
