Results of recent issues. Along with other board changes

First off, I will address the banned members. I have lifted the ban of anyone who posted only one thread in the matter. What was done, is for every thread started the poster received an infraction worth 10pts. The infractions were given and bans lifted before I made this announcement.

As far as the moderators go. The moderator who started the thread has stepped down along with one other moderator. We will not be asking any other moderators to step down. When answering why we have made this decision its because we are looking at intent. The moderators had no intent whatsoever to hurt anyone and especially no intent of physical harm. When the threads were posted all over DS it was done with the intent to cause trouble, intended to attack DS. The moderators involved have apologized to anyone who was hurt.

This issue is now resolved and any posts (direct or indirect) about this matter will be locked or deleted.

Now moving on to some other changes that are going to happen.

First, there is no bashing of other boards allowed ANYWHERE on this board. Also, do not bring other boards' drama here. Any threads bashing another board will either be locked or removed and warnings will be given.

Second, there will be a no tolerance policy of bashing THIS board, the moderators, or the rules in the public setting(direct or indirect). If you have an issue with a rule or how something has been handled you will get MUCH farther PMing a moderator than you will posting something about it.

Third on the agenda is Infractions. We have decided to do away with them from this point on. It was a system we decided to try and have decided that its no easier than our old system, so we will be going back to our old system. There is the same guidelines though, basically three strikes and your out. First incident is your first warning, second incident is your second warning, third time is a temporary ban. If you come back from your temporary ban and receive a fourth warning will be a six month ban. If you come back again and receive a fifth warning, that is when you jump into a permanent ban situation. If at any time we decide someone has done something that deserves an automatic ban we will do so. Anyone who has current infractions, they will transfer over to the new system.

Fourth, a show and tell forum has been created. It is located in the craft chat forum. Non-WAHMs and WAHMs alike are allowed to post their items they have created. The only thing I ask is that WAHMs do not try and SELL the item from the forum. Please make no mention of when and where it will be stocked. If we see someone trying to sell the item from their show and tell post we will remove it.

Fifth, we now have a mediation forum. It will be open to anyone who would like to use it. It will be a private setting for members to hash out problems together and come to a resolution. The mediation forum will be only seen by the moderators and the people who are in mediation. Once a resolution is reached the thread will be deleted so the next set of mediation clients will not be able to see what happened before them. This forum can also be used for transaction problems, where the moderators can look at the situation and give advise on what a fair resolution might be. For access to the mediation forum please PM a moderator.

That rounds up the changes that are going to happen. The rules and FAQs will be updated as soon as we have a chance.

If you have any problems I ask you to contact a moderator privately.

Thank you for your time.
