*UPDATE* Brainstorm with me.....

Ok so I have been mulling this over in my head and can't come up with a solid decision so honest opinions are appreciated.

I am a WAHM and sewing is my business. By it's nature my job requires me to keep a supply of fabric and lots of other materials. I also have a very messy sewing desk because I have to sew any chance I get and I get cut off abruptly when baby needs me. Currently my sewing desk is in my living room (we do not have ANY spare rooms) but since we got rid of so many toys we now have that big closet that was a toy closet available. I am considering putting my sewing desk in there. This seems like a great idea but a few cons are making me hesitant. The "cons" are:
*It is in the hallway making it potentally annoying for people trying to go through (but I mainly sew when kids are asleep)

*It is right outside the kids bedroom door and I wonder if it would bother them (but I doubt it)

so opinions?

UPDATE

Ok so here it is :)

The stack of drawers have fabric and one has patterns. I still have fabric in other places too but I am not buying any more fabric until I sew through a very big chunk of what I already have.

And a view of the other side

There are still a few random things in this closet that I need to sell/donate but I am fairly happy with it as it is. And I am very glad to get it out of my living room.

I actually read that it helps kids sleep to hear parents doing things in other rooms, lets them know you're right there. Sewing was one of the examples they gave (might have been in the book good nights?)

I say go for it!

I wanna see those pics! I love the thought of making "rooms" out of closets. Right now we only have one closet and it is very much a closet, but when/if we move, I'd love to think outside the "box"

What an awesome blog! I bookmarked it since I know our next house is going to be even smaller. I think a sewing room closet would be awesome! It would be more private, and you would have more room in your living room. Try it, and if you don't like it, you can always put it back :D
