Post baby stomach binder...

What kinds do you ladies like? I got one from the previous hospital and liked it. Didn't like the belly bandit at all. So im looking into getting another one as the hospital Im having my baby at doesn't give them to you.

So far Im thinking about this one

Anyone have any suggestions on ones that are long enough for long torso and doesn't roll or bunch? thanks :)

I wanted to have multiple options to see what worked best. I got a bamboo belly bandit but I hear it bunches and the sizing is ridiculous. So I also got a traditional malay one called a Bengkung. I didn't buy from this site but they have a lot of information on them: http://www.little-tots-store.com/cat...elly-Wraps.htm

I will also get some 6in wide ace bandages and just use those.
I have been really looking into the Wink postpartum girdles as well. They are specifically made for post pregnancy but they are $$$. If I find one on sale or second hand I might get that one too! The only con I see of this is I am not sure if the croch opening would be annoying while dealing with Lochia.

I like that the Bengkung and the ace bandages will be completely adjustable and I could bind more area. The belly bandit and just waist clinchers like that seem like they would constantly ride up and be so annoying while sitting and nursing all the time.
I think anything with really good compression will work well. I am going to bind for at least 60 days postpartum only taking it off to bathe.

Binding postpartum helps the uterus go back down to size quicker, helps with after pains/bleeding, gives you support (so you dont have that guts falling out feeling), helps with back pains, encourages proper posture, can reduce water retention/swelling, encourages the skin to tighten... lots of things!!
Multiple cultures have done it for centuries and still do it today.

I used one last time and no joke 3 weeks after I went form a size 11ish to a size 6. I stopped wearing mine too soon because it was too big. I shouldve gotten a smaller size. I had the belly bandit but have a longer torso so it would always move

Bumping since some of us were talking about it in the belly shot thread :)

I'm bringing my corset to the hospital and putting it on as soon as I get up. It's already the size I want it to be and I can tighten or loosen it according to how I feel. And with all the boning on it there will be no problems with it riding around. I might pick up some ace bandages since I have to have something between that and my skin and its hard to shop for a fitted nursing tank while I'm feeling like a tank myself.

What kind do you have? Last time the hospital gave me one but this time the hospital I'm at doesn't do that. So I went ahead and got one
