Here we go! Happy New Year!

Happy new years mamas!

We had a late night. Played games, Kinect, ate ice cream sundaes, drank sparkling cider....all quietly as dd was asleep! :giggle: Dh and Caleb were the only ones awake at midnight. Crazy boys! We slept in though so that was nice.

Everyone have a good night?

The kids are driving me absolutely nutso today! So glad there's school tomorrow!

I'm tired and don't feel like updating much else right now...

Ditto to that Crystal - my boys were bouncing off the walls today!!!!!

We have had such a busy week, but the most exciting news - the boys got their hearing aids on Friday. Ds1 is responding beautifully to them and he seems so happy to be able to hear the world around him better , ds2, however, hates his and has probably only worn them a few hours total in the last 3 days :banghead:, I expected it to be a challenging change for him, but I just want him so badly to be able to hear better and learn to speak.

Do you know what it's like to have never heard your almost 3 year old ever utter an audible sentence to you? That's rhetorical of course... I just want to hear my baby say he loves me . Most days I have a lot of hope and faith and other days - like today - I just want to hide in a corner and cry from sorrow and frustration and lack of hope.

I'm hoping that 2012 brings many a wonderful blessings, first home, first 'real' job for dh, ds2 speaking, new babies in our extended family (to be honest I wouldn't mind another one in our own).

Mary has been fighting a nasty cough all week but seems to be pulling through, but I really think she is teething as well... needless to say she is cranky :( - poor thing. I'm surprised at how patient I have remained with her, probably makes a difference with her being #3... not having such high expectations for her ability to deal with situations like this. Oh yeah - she rolled over on Saturday from back to tummy, just once but wow was I ever surprised! AND, I cut her little mullet, I saved the hair (is that gross?) but it looks WAY better.

Okay, well that was ALL.OVER.THE.PLACE  but here's some recent pics of our Mary-bear (and ds1's hearing aids, because he ROCKS them) to redeem myself ;)

awesome hearing aids - 'ear-pieces'

freshly bathed happy baby

Happy New Year!

Crystal and Melissa - it must have been something in the air yesterday because my older two were driving me a little crazy too. Connor has one more day off before going back to school.

Connor goes 1/2 day to preschool at our local public school. They have a really nice program called Little Learners. They were able to get all of the school district's preschool age kids into a class this year. They have two 1/2 day classes and a full day class. We have a pretty small school so that is about 50 kids total. It's a combined building for PK-12. It's a huge building and I get lost in it quite often. But here is my question for you mamas that have older kids. Were you sick the entire year of your oldest's first year in school? We seem to just get over one cold and here comes another. I think we are all on round 3 here now. Please tell me it gets better.

On my to do list today:

- Get parts to fix my car. I'd rather just put this car out of it's misery but I have to have something to drive.

- Sit down and write out my goals for 2012 and a plan of how to achieve them.

- Laundry! Laundry! Laundry! OMG! Does anyone else feel like they just are being overrun by laundry lately?

- Take down the Christmas decorations.

- Clean and organize the kitchen and livingroom.

- Organize my coupon binder.

- Work on some knitting if I can squeeze it in. I have to finish the project I am working on and then see if I have enough wool to make Colter a new pair of longies. He has outgrown the ones I made for him before he was born. I have new patterns to try so I'm excited to get working on them.

If I hope to get any of this done today I better get moving. I'll check back in a little later.

I'm constantly overrun by laundry! I do mine and the girls' laundry all together and somehow adding that one tiny little outfit a day took me from doing laundry once a week to every 3 days. I don't understand! I enjoy diaper laundry but hate folding the clothes.

Today I plan to take Senia's Christmas outfit pictures, clean a bit, and get some knitting done. I'm test knitting a baby sweater that has to be done in less than two weeks so I need to find some yarn and get started on it.

Ditto on the crazy kids!! Wednesday can't come fast enough.

Melissa, That little girly melts my heart. She is so darn cute! And I kinda dug the mullet ;) What king of diaper is she in- looks like a pf but can't tell the cover...
Your DS aides look cool! So glad he is happy about them. Hope you can get DS2 on board. :hugs: for your wait. Even though we know they adore us, hearing those little words is very special. It will come soon mama :hugs:

Crystal I have a question: I posted in ef bit since I 'know' you I'll ask here too ;) It looks like some of the ply is coming loose on a pair of dds woolies. Do you know how to repair this?? I attached a pic.

Anyone have 1st Christmas pics they wanna post? Big kids too!

Britt, shes wearing a trifoldef yellow edge gmd pf with a flip cover in bubble. Its the only system we use now, and I love it. So simple and easy to care for. Right now we have 10 flip covers and 18 yellow edge pfs, I need half a dozen more since I was rounding put the stash with traditional infants and the newborns but they are just not getting the job done anymore.

Happy new year!

Today we relaxed by ourselves for the first time since moving. It felt so good to just sit around in my underwear in my new house without curtains or blinds.... You'd have to be on my deck to see me so I don't care the least bit :)

I got tired of DD whining so her hair got the big chop this morning. To make her less upset as she did not want her hair cut at all we did the whole mani, cut, makeup etc experience at sweet n sassy.

And cute little miss just because:
