The medical bills have started...
 

So, I received my first bill for this pregnancy, and it's a whopper! I had my first blood labs done at the office right next to my doctor's (I was literally in the same exam room), and it was a lab through a local hospital. Apparently this lab charged my insurance company over $500!!! I was in turn sent a bill for $121... FOR BLOOD WORK! WTH?! :mad:
This is a new doctor's office for me. I just do not understand the charge, and will certainly fight it, but what a nuissance! Anyone else have something similar happen?!

we finally got our bills from my m/c the beginning of December and it is $11,000...and insurance won't cover it because it was an uneccesary procedure :headscratch: We are fighting that one.

Stevensmom... Ummm.. you were hemorrhaging!!! How is that an unnecessary procedure?!?!?!? Wth man??

And $500 for bloodwork!!

yeah I told dh we could tell the insurance company that they would have a lot more to pay if I just stayed at home


but yes I hate bills :hugs:

I am so sorry for you! What a horrible experience to go through, and then to be served with that! It's absolutely pitiful! I guess I shoudn't complain so much about $121, but it did seem exorbitant...

Or stayed on the grocery store floor with your young kids freaking out! Dumb insurance company.

You have every right to be miffed by $121.. ridiculous!
