How many heartbeats on my doppler?

Heres the linky

So I feel like I can find a heartbeat thats in the 150s, another in the 160s and mine in the 90s-100s. All 3 are in the video.

So...is there one baby and one of the "heartbeats" in the umbilical cord? or would that be the same rate as the babys heartbeat?? Or what??:lostit:

Mine did the same thing. I think since only one is heard at a time, it's prob not twins. Have you had an u/s yet?

I have no idea. Maybe you could ask your dr?

You are probably picking up your own heartbeat as opposed to the baby. Baby's will run 110-160 on average... If you are certain that you are picking up fetal heart tones then you definitely need to see your doc right away.

From my experience using the doppler on myself, I can find tons of different hb's :giggle: And there is definitely just one baby for me. In one session I'll find what I know to be my son around 145-150, myself around 60-70, and then I normally get a crazy high one that must be both of us around 200'ish, plus I get another number for the placenta, but that one is a distinctly different sound. And sometimes I'll also get what must be an echo or something around 170-180. I don't think doppler being used at home is really going to predict multiples. I think even with a trained professional, and older/bigger babies, it's gonna be tough.

I'm currently pregnant with twins, and while I haven't used a Doppler on myself, my midwife admitted she found it all but impossible to distinguish two different HBs audibly, so she checks and tracks them visually on ultrasound.

I hear your heartbeat, baby, then the blood flow through the placenta.

Yes the last sound is not a heart beat. I hear that also on mine.
