hard water

How do you battle hard water with your dipes and other clothes?

A good water softener, change filters often, and I use calgon in my rinse cycle every so often. No issues so far!

Finding the right detergent and using enough of it is the key.

detergent (many with hard water have to use more than normal detergent) and a good water softener (Calgon seems to be the highest recommended softener from people with hard water).

There is some interesting information on pinstripes and polkadots' website here:

I live in a hard water area too. I installed water softener system. It works very well.
