*May 2011 Mamas - February Chat Thread*

A new month!! I'd love to hear updates! DD is 24 lbs. 11 oz. as of yesterday (she'll be 9 months on the 19th) and she is sitting, commando crawling, and PULLING UP to stand!! The last one just happened this weekend. I can't believe it! She's babbling a lot and waving occasionally. We haven't been doing much with solid foods yet besides just sort of experimenting a few times and she always just gags. She's so sweet and smiley and snuggly! She is sleeping like crap lately. Her 3rd tooth just popped through and I think a lot more are on their way. And she has pink eye in both eyes. Hopefully she'll feel better soon.

Anyway, let's see new pictures if you want to share. Here are mine:

Yay new pictures and new abilities! DS is attempting to pull up to stand but isn't quite there yet, he's also still not crawling more like commando scooting backwards lol! He still rolls and gets where he wants with little-to-no trouble so I don't think he's in a rush to crawl. More time for me to get baby-proofed ;) Last week tooth #6 cut through and #s 7 & 8 we can see but haven't broken through the gums yet. It explains why he's been sleeping like crap too (up almost every hour at night), four teeth almost at once is crazy!

The last picture (in the swing) I took today, we ventured to the park because it was nearly 70 degrees!!! DS loved watching all of the kids at the park and especially loved swinging! It was been an oddly mild winter for us, we don't always get tons of snow but we do typically have frigid temps and this year hasn't been very bad at all. No complaints here!

cherrycoke - He's so cute! It was just as warm here yesterday and we went to the park and DD sat in one of those same swings. :D We also are not used to it being so warm for so long during the winter. It seems wrong although I do enjoy it.

Oh my goodness, what cute babies. DS is still such a skinny man compared to these guys! Definitely did not get my genetics there, that's for sure.

DS is commando crawling ALL OVER, getting on hands and knees and rocking, pulling himself into boxes and onto his knees (SO CUTE), and climbing all over me. He's eating so much and loves feeding himself. Still just has two lower teeth, no uppers. Sleeping well for the most part. And seems generally very happy!

Here's a fun question (and I only ask it so I can share) - what's the cutest thing your baby does?

DS does this thing where if he puts a round curved thing in his mouth (like a cup or something) he moves his head back and forth and makes a sound but his mouth opens and closes on the object. So the sound ends up being something like "aaaabbaaa aaabaaa aaaabaaa." Sometimes he does it to my cheek. I like to think it's a kiss :)

awww! so cute! DS "waves" but he doesn't move his hand. He just holds it up in the air towards whatever/whoever he's waving at. He also likes to watch the bathtub fill with water, he stands at the side and just makes noises to hear the echo, I love bath time!

Is our group totally abandoned? Or just busy?

Let's see, DS is being a total grump (not the normal word I use but, you know) these days. Screaming. Crying. Irritable. Fussy. Always tired. Not sure what it is. I suspect anemia and am trying to give him more iron rich foods without making him constipated.

I also think that I may have ovulated for the first time but didn't really get AF. A little bit of blood but not really. I'm wondering if that affected my milk and DS at all.

I asked DH to buy DS some sippy cups at Safeway today and all they had were "girl" colors. Not that I'm a big believer in that, but if there's a choice I generally go green. So DS is now the proud owner of two purple sippys. A playtex and a nuk. We'll see which he prefers.

Not much else. My house was clean for a day and now it's not again. So what else is new.

I'm still here :) My oldest ended up in the ER on Thursday am with a bladder infection, so we have been a little nuts! It is my weekend and I have more to share, so I will hop on the computer and update more later!

Oh no! Sending good thoughts for your oldest. Bladder infections are not fun. This totally does not compare but our dog had a recurring bladder infection for months and we had to do a ton of antibiotics. Eventually I found doggy cranberry pills (no joke, they actually make them) and she hasn't had one since. Her daily vitamin :P
