After 5 months you'd think...
I had it figured out :)
When you guys feed your 4-5 month olds, how many letdowns do you have per side? How long does your letdowns last? |
Re: After 5 months you'd think...
I don't even feel my letdowns after the first couple of months. It's pretty common to stop feeling them.
I also don't really pay attention to baby to see how much he's swallowing. If he's on the boob, good. If he's popped off, then I usually assume he's too distracted/gassy/tired/full to want to nurse anymore. |
Re: After 5 months you'd think...
I still, to this day (LO is 13.5 months) can feel every single letdown. I used to count them because I had nothing better to do, and then I started timing how often I had them, too. :giggle: I get the first let down after LO sucks for about 10-30 seconds (depends on how he is sucking and how frequently). The next one comes about 7 minutes after the first and then I will have another every 10 minutes as long as LO is on and sucking. ;)
My letdowns last about 3-5 minutes (at 4-5 months) before LO started to slow down and not gulp as much. Now he can chug a let-down in about 1-2 minutes. :giggle: HTH! :) |

I had 4 letdowns in 30 minutes consistently. Unfortunately, the first only lasted for one minute and the later ones only lasted for about 30 seconds (I have IGT.)

At 6m I letdown once, only nurse on one side. However, one letdown for me is 8oz per boob. I spray a meter easy every time :(.
