Wool liners

Anyone use them, and how do you like to use them? Do you put them nearest the baby for stay dry or do you put them nearest the cover?

Anyone try some sort of PUL liner in their cotton dipes at the bottom? I have noticed my daughter pees straight out the bottom and the diaper doesn't get wet except right at the very bottom. I feel like if the pee had a chance to get absorbed by the rest of the diaper, it might not drip out. Maybe the wool liner or hemp doublers would help with this?

Re: Wool liners

I have a few wool liners. I use them at night when she is very rashy or irritated and I slather her with lanolin, they go next to her skin for stay dry and keeping the lanolin there. They work really really well for us. Pain to hand wash though. And I felted a couple by testing whether you REALLY have to hand wash... Yes, you do have to hand wash. :P

Sounds like you have a high velocity wetter :) I would use a hemp doubler to "stop the flow" in the wet zone and encourage it to spread out the rest of the diaper. It also helps to have old, broken in, super absorbent diapers if they are all cotton. Ours have always had that "little wet spot" issue when they were used before being fully prepped.
