Help with Operation Notes, Im no doctor!

So I just got my papers from my last two csections...and I was reading over and wanted to know if anyone might know these terms:

"the uterus was closed in a run lock fashion starting at either angle and working to the midline. And additional figure of eight suture was placed in the mid portion to achieve complete hemostasis."

Is that considered a double suture closing, or just a single suture...

"Per patient request, the muscles were approximated in the midline per patient request in an interrupted fashion and the fascia was then closed."

Well I have no idea what that means..since i never requested anything? :dunno:

I googled what I could, but didn't really find answers....

maybe you could call the nurse at the OB's office and see if they can translate? I don't know what any of that means, lol.

I'm no doctor nor a surgical expert, but I'm an RN and it does sound to me like a double suture closure. As for the second part with the muscles, it kinda sounds like they pushed your muscles together and then closed up? I dunno....that part is weird to me too and I'm not entire sure what that means exactly.
