Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of April 30th

This thread is for women that have children who are trying to have more and struggling with infertility (IF). You fall into the IF category if you have been trying for more than a year or if you have known fertility issues. Some have secondary IF and some have primary IF. Some of us are TTC naturally and some need treatments of some type. All are welcome!

We also have women who are praying to make it. Due to prior losses or IF they don't feel like they should join a due date board till after the first 12 weeks. We are truly happy to support you as you transition. Please just keep in mind that we are a group of woman struggling with IF and be sensitive to that as you post. If you put a pregnancy ticker or smiley in your signature, please turn off your signature when you post in this thread. Thank you!

Please note: When your information needs to be updated, please highlight the area that needs to be updated. This will make it easier for me to update you. :goodvibes:

If you'd like to be added please post your info using the format below. Please note: I remove names if you are inactive for one month. This really helps keep the list more manageable, if you would like to be added back, just repost your info. :D

Re: Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of April 30th

Good Morning all. Sometimes I have to wonder why I hold out hope when there should be none. Pretty sure no O this cycle, and even if there was where it should be our timing was aweful. And yet still AF is due today or tomorrow and so of course when it wasn't here this morning I tested. Why when I know it's going to be negative do I still hold out hope that it won't be.

Re: Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of April 30th

Good Morning! Hope everyone is doing well... waiting to hear from the ones testing and I have fingers and toes crossed for you Amy and Jacqueline!

Jacqueline: Not sure your question was answered.... Mini IVF basically requires fewer medications. That reduces the cost quite a bit. It would be good for someone like me who ovulates each month, but due to male factor infertility- egg and sperm don't meet. It would give you far fewer embryos to work with. But, again, that could be a positive.

AFM: I feel pretty good about using this month to get in shape for IVF. I can't believe my husband is being so supportive of this!!! He seems anxious to get started. I've learned that the failed attempts are what is most stressful on our marriage- he hates all the crying and disappointment, plus I'm sure it is emotionally draining on him for so many reasons. In other news- my in laws move in with us this week! It should be great, but I'm a little worried about the impact it might have on our TTC...

I'm sorry. That is so frustrating. I never test for this reason- I mean never. I can't remember the last time I tested. I'd rather just have AF surprise me. I'm so sorry- I hope that you just calculated your cycle wrong and hopefully you get a surprise BFP instead of AF.

You would think I would have learned to stop by now, but dang, it's so frustrating if I"m taking the drugs it feels like I should have a chance therefore the test is justified. But it just doesn't seem to matter.

Amy- been wondering about you all weekend. Any thing new?

Slimy- sorry, I understand. I test each month and it's pretty heartbreaking each neg. I have to test b/c my ectopic risk is sky high, it's got so I don't look forward to it.

Rebecca- how exciting that things are getting close to happening!

Carissa- I hope the scan goes well Wednesday.

AFM-nothing exciting CD3, whoop

Re: Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of April 30th

Rebecca- are you guys doing full or mini ivf? We are leaning to mini right now. We can't afford full and don't want to wait 1-2 years until we can. If we do it will likely be in July/August.

I think I'm out this cycle I tested twice today and BFN.

Re: Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of April 30th

We are doing full- we found a clinic that will do it for us for about $5000. They are basically doing it half price because they opened a new clinic and are trying to get clients.
