Oops! Drank juiced herbs!!
Those included were oregano, sage, summer savory, thyme, and basil. I'm 24 weeks along, and on progesterone shots to prevent another preemie. It was a bundle of herbs, so it was a rather high concentration mixed with greens, carrots, and fruits. How worried should I be? How likely will sage and oregano induce labor or bleeding in a high risk pregnancy?

I've never heard of those herbs causing labor

Re: Oops! Drank juiced herbs!!
So, you know women who have taken them throughout pregnancy without a problem?
|
Is juicing different then just eating them? Cuz, I've eaten all those herbs through my pregnancies without problems.
|
Yea. I've used all those herbs. Not sure where you heard that it would cause labor or bleeding.

Re: Oops! Drank juiced herbs!!
Yeah, those are all safe herbs while pregnant.

Re: Oops! Drank juiced herbs!!
They're safe in normal amounts used in recipes, but not as teas, or if consumed in bulk, which I did. :-/ They're emmenagogues, but I can't find any information on the dosage that causes problems, or if they can cause problems after the first trimester.

Again..where did you hear this?

Re: Oops! Drank juiced herbs!!
hmm, I have never heard of any of these being a problem, but if you are concerned, you should call your dr or mw. He/she would likely know better than any of us.

Re: Oops! Drank juiced herbs!!
Pretty much every site that listed safe and unsafe herbs had sage listed as one to avoid.
