Switching to milk & rashes??
My dd always has some sort of diaper rash. We have switched her from formula to milk this week & she has a horrible rash. Could she have a sensitivity to cows milk? I already have one lactose intolerant kid & I am too. My son we didn't realize until he started drinking milk bc he was only BF. I've wondered if dd has a sensitivity too just bc of all the rashes she get all the time. She has been formula fed since she was 3 months old.

Re: Switching to milk & rashes??
Not sure what the rash is like, but here's my story:

With my now almost 3 year old, we slowly switched to whole milk from a toddler formula after he turned 1. Once we got the point where he was getting abut 75% milk and 25% formula, he'd get super bad diaper rash when he had a BM. It was like it was burning him. We went back to the formula and waited several months before trying the switch again. At about 18 months we were able to fully transition to milk. He was just on a regular toddler formula so nothing lactose free or anything so the Ped was a bit surprised by his reaction.

DS2 is almost 1 and we'll do the same for him, probably keep him on the toddler formula for a few months past his 1st birthday.

Re: Switching to milk & rashes??
Our experience is similar to the pp with ds2. He is 15 mos and on Good Start (since 6mos). Whenever we try milk or give him cheese, he gets an awful diaper rash that looks like it has burned his skin. My ds1 has a huge milk allergy so I'm guessing this is a much milder version. So we are staying on 100% formula for now. I intended to keep him on some formula but was hoping to add in some milk.

Re: Switching to milk & rashes??
I should add that my son eats yogurt and cheese just fine. I nursed and he was fine with everything I ate (which included lots of dairy, but not a ton of milk). Hope you figure something out.
