ultrasound and placenta encapsulation

Anyone else ever had or planning on placenta encapsulation?

I have had such bad baby blues (not depression bc it's gone by 6-8 weeks) but horrible and dibilitating that i am desperate. Think it's worth the $200?

Also, anyone not do ultrasounds?

We are contemplating skipping them all together or just doing one of those 3d ones where they don't tell you anything technical. With our son we were told her had all kinds of problems and sent for an amnio (we declined) and to a geneticist and a perinatologist just to find out it was shockingly nothing. After crying and stressing for 22 weeks of my pregnancy i CANNOT repeat that one. I do have a small fear i will miss something that would be helpful to know, especially as we plan to have a homebirth.

I'm not planning on placenta encapsulation because I've never really had issues with PPD/baby blues... I think I'll be burying it with a tree. :)

I can totally relate to not wanting to stress the whole pregnancy! I'm firmly in the "would rather be prepared" camp, especially with a home birth. The fun 3D u/s places here won't do them unless you are under the care of a provider and have had your 20w anatomy scan.
