What makes big family?
I am sure this has been posted a 100times before and I am sorry. What do you consider to be a big family? I got a sticker that says I love my big family but not sure we qualify. I have 4 kids a 3 year old and 7 month old triplets.

I would say, in my mind, 5 kids would be a big family. BUT, with triplets, I would think that would be the exception, lol. I have 8 and never have had to do 3 at one time. That puts you in a whole other category! So go ahead and Rock that sticker, mama!

Re: What makes big family?
I would say 4 or 5. 4 if you have a set a multiples and 5 if singles. Totally biased because I have a set of twins, some how in my mind they count as more kids? :lostit:

Re: What makes big family?
When you absolutley can not fit the whole family into a car...then you are a big family lol. People consider my family "big" we only have 3, but they are pretty close in age so I wonder if that's why.

Re: What makes big family?
I think of small as 1-2, average/medium 3-5, and big more than 5.

We're expecting our 4th, and while I don't feel like that is big, many other people make comments about us having a big family even with just our current 3. I'm one of 5 and that never felt big to me. My husband is one of 10, and I would say is definitely from a big family!

Now that I have 7 my feelings have changed. We dont feel big...:dunno: i want another too.

I think socially anything over 4-5 is big. For me, I dont know.

4 or more in my neck of the woods

Re: What makes big family?
I tend to think of 5 as being the start of a big family. But, most people around here have 3 or less. So, I think to most people 4 is a big family.

That said, I have 2 sets of twins. Even when I only had one set of twins and an "older" (only 2 years older), it seemed like a "big family" just because multi's seems to exponentially increase the work. :giggle: So, with trips and a single, I'd say you are a big family.

One more than the number I have, because I don't feel like my family is "big" even though we keep adding kids!
