Hotel with large family??
Ok so I'm not a super large family but with 4 we are over the norm. We are traveling a few hours and sleeping over for my grandmothers 80th birthday. We are meeting my cousins who have 5 kids. We are looking at hotel options but trying to figure out the cheapest option for both of our families.
So how do you do hotels for your large family??

I would look into getting adjoining rooms. adults in one, kids in the other

We are staying at a days inn that has a 2 bedroom suite! It's only $89/night!! I'm sure it won't be nice, but hopefully clean. So maybe check their website?

That's the only way I could think to do it.

We went to Cali last year with our family of 5 and we found hotel rooms with 1-2 bedrooms. That way everyone could have space!

There is a days inn where we are going but no suites. Just standard rooms at $88 a night.

We are now looking into this now that we have 4 kids, they are pricey but we are looking into family suites, and adjoining rooms.

I need to find something as well since we're going to Monterey Bay soon.

We are a family of 10. We just get 2 rooms, adjoining if available but if not I sleep in one room with the baby and 3 others and dh sleeps in the other with the other 4. If his is the case we always get side by side rooms.

We prefer the Mariott hotels as dh get tons of free nights because that is where he stays in when he travels for work which is weekly. He is in the rewards program. He averages only 2 days a week home most weeks.

DOn't know if they have one but we just got back from traveling to florida and stopped at holiday inns there and back. Just told them our party number and what we were needing bedwise and they were very accomidating and reasonable. we didn't have to get 2 rooms ever so it was a lot cheaper (but with 2 families I don't know if you would want to) I was really worried about trying to find somewhere on the fly (no reservations lol) for our family of 7 but loved how they worked with us.

Trying to find hotels for the 6 of us ATM and just found which is the best website I've found so far to look up the info. I'm new at this though do maybe there are more awesome websites to search?

Check for Holiday Inn or Homewood Suites. We stayed in Homewood Suites in May and it was nice. We are a family of 6 and we got a suite that had an apt. type room (kitchen/living room with hide-a-bed) and a bedroom/bathroom (with two double beds). And they serve hot breakfast AND have an indoor pool! Plus it was affordable! :lostit: My hubby is a cheapo. So that is usually the deal-breaker!
