Chubby thigh help, AGAIN!
Hi Mama's!
I have been in search of a diaper that will work for my little girl. She has a fairly slender tummy but chubby thighs! We have tried pockets and fitteds but I think I might like to try AIO'S. She is very tough to change so I think an AIO might be easier than wrestling with fitteds and covers! Any suggestions? Are simplex chub friendly? Thanks! |
My Dd2 is similar build. My favourite diaper is SoftBums omni. Love the completely adjustable leg and waist.

I don't have any suggestions for the AIO but my minky pianissimo cloth fitteds are the softest and gentlest for my sons chunky thighs. I've never ever ever had red marks.

I think Peachy Green AIOs fit well on chubby thighs. The elastic seems very gentle.

Re: Chubby thigh help, AGAIN!
Personally, I'd go with fitteds and either a fleece or wool soaker on top. It doesn't matter so much if the diaper is on properly, because the soaker will hold it all in place. I've had many sloppy prefold jobs on my wriggly DS but we never had any leaks with a soaker on.
Basically, I'd slap on the prefold or fitted while DS was rolling on the changing table, then I'd lift him up and put his feet through the soaker, and then use gravity to get the soaker on :giggle: FWIW, my DS also had huge thighs and a thin waist for much of his diapered life, and it was hard to find something that fit well. Side snapping diapers did fit better, but I personally liked using the wool soakers with prefolds mostly. |
Any thoughts on blueberry basix or Swaddlebees simplex??
