8 week dating ultrasound today -- empty sac...
 

I'm not feeling optimistic, my 8 week dating ultrasound this morning showed an empty sac. I know the date of my LMP and ovulation are pretty spot-on as I was keeping close track of them while TTC.

I was in complete shock... I have had no cramping and no spotting. I assumed everything was perfectly fine...

They took blood, and will have me back on Wednesday for another blood draw to check betas... and rescheduled another ultrasound for Monday (a week from today.)

Wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what the outcome was? Doctor seemed to think I'm in early stages of miscarriage.

My first pregnancy was a blighted ovum. I had my first prenatal + u/s at just about 8 wks, and I had a gestational sac measuring 8 wks and nothing else. I had a d&c two days later. It shocked me too. I had no cramping, no bleeding, no signs of problems, had pregnancy symptoms. I hope things work out different for you :hugs:

My miscarriages were always obvious with bleeding. No advice. :hugs:

I just had my 8-wk u/s and baby measured 6wks. :( my d&c is on Wed. totally sucks. :( I understand what you are going through.
ETA: I've had no cramping or bleeding, either, and have been dry heaving & everything. Total shock.
