Does anybody love those Dappi pull-on covers?
I know, probably a long shot. They're basically the old school cloth diaper covers that your mom used. But they seem kinda cute to me, and a huge bonus is that you can dye them!

So, does anybody love these? Anyone dye them? I'm thinking of getting some to try since they're so inexpensive. Hoping they'll fit on some baby chicken legs!

EDIT: So, I got some... and I dyed them! The whole dye thing needs some work (I tried to get dark green and got some muddy green color, ew... tried dark gray and got BLACK haha). The colors that did come out are gorgeous! An orange color, a light green, a pretty blue that reminds me of BG Mirror, a dark teal, and a deep, bright red.

Atticus looking very confused at the flash...
The pretty blue color here in the middle, between a GroVia Surf and a Flip in Mirror.
Excuse the terrible pictures... my model kept crawling away! WHAT! He just learned this. I did NOT expect him to be crawling at 6 months old!
And here's a bunch of them together, including the accidental black one.

They are bleeding color a little bit, but I'm hoping it stops soon so I can wash them with the rest of my dipes. :P

They were my bulletproof nighttime cover for my DS when he was in cloth at night. I got them to use over training pants, but found out they worked really well as diaper covers! No wicking because of the very full cut.

And they squish down nicely to fit under clothes. They become the size of the fitted or PF or whatever you are usig under neath which is nice. I like them on my chicken leg twins! My thirsties covers are huge, so I use these sometimes. The girls are 6 weeks old. One is 7lbs, one is 8.5 lbs

They're actually one of my favorite covers! I just got some for LO. Had some for DD1 as well. I think they run a tad big. I'm using NB on my 10 lb 5-week-old, and they're still a bit big in the leg. Ms fit my ODD up to 30 lbs, so I wouldn't quite go by the size chart. I've never heard of dying them, but that would be awesome! What kind of dye do you use? I love that they work over pinned pfs and generous fitteds like MEOS.

I got some to try since they're breathable. Dying them is a great idea! I think they seem so comfy for a newbie and they seem easier than dealing with hook and loop or snaps.

These are in a totally different league price wise all together but I saw these checking out a link another thread asked about. I never knew Nikky made a cotton pull-on cover like their training pants but like the dappi, just a cover! $24.95+ shipping will probably prevent me from trying it but just thought I'd share. I'm going to pick up some dappis though next time I'm at nickis diapers!

Do you mean the nylon ones? GMD says they're being discontinued (scroll down mid-way):

Whoops, those were Bummis not Dappis!

We have a lot of people that use them and love them! I agree with others that they seem to run large. If you like pull on covers but want some color, new Bummis Pull-Ons are colored :)

Re: Does anybody love those Dappi pull-on covers?
I used both Bummis and Dappi pull ons when my two boys were a bit older (1 to 2 years). I ended up using these exclusively for a long time because I loved them so much, and I had tried a LOT of covers. I agree with PP's pros for this cover. The ONLY con I found was that if there was a leak from the cloth diaper underneath (a bad one), then because you have to pull the cover off, I'd end up getting poop all over my LO's legs in the process of getting that cover off. Yuck...HOWEVER...NEVER had a leak with either of these covers. I loved that they were SO THIN to fit under clothes. And yes, there was something super cute about them.

The price is wonderful, too. Oh, and also, they line dry REALLY fast, and they lasted for way longer than I thought they would. This will be my 3rd go-around with the same covers.

Go for it! :)
