can you wear your baby after a c section?
I guess the question is how soon and which carriers did you love?

wraps and pouch/ring slings slings were no problem immediately postpartum- I couldn;t wear the ergo for several months - i just found it irritating along my abdomen

Moby & Bjorn in the first week ;)
Don't worry about week 1, but a few days after you feel comfortable walking around, you'll be able to do some babywearing. Good luck! |

3 days postpartum. My second was having trouble. I was afraid I would fall asleep and drop him so I put him in the sling.

As soon as I could walk upright again without limping or shuffling. So maybe 5 or 6 days.

I used the ergo as soon as I could drive, so somewhere around 2 weeks.

Re: can you wear your baby after a c section?
My son was in the NICU for 6 days, but I wore him as soon as he came home (that day) in a miracle cami. Neither of us got much sleep apart and I thought he could use the Kangaroo care, so I put him in that, and then fell asleep in a chair with him. I think it was the best sleep either of us got in a week! DH was fully awake during this time and my son was never in any danger by me doing this. I was also mostly off my pain medications, I think I was only on the Rx ibuprofen, if that. I had a classical c-section and it was my second classical c-section.
