Need co-sleeping advice for my wiggle worm!

So, I love co-sleeping, but lately things just aren't working out. My baby is almost 3 months old, and has started wiggling around all night long. Some nights she even decides that it's daddy night and will constantly roll into him, or kick him, which of course causes him to keep moving father away, until he's falling off the bed! Those are the nights neither of us get any sleep, usually it's just me.

I started thinking that maybe we should look into getting one of those side car sleepers for her, so she could have her own space, but still be close to me. But when looking them up I found that you aren't supposed to use them once the baby can pull himself up to his knees, at about 5 months. It doesn't seem like a good investment to get something that can only be used for 2 more months. Plus what are we supposed to do after that? We have a queen sized bed, and things are already starting to get rather crowded. I really want to co-sleep until she's at least a year old.

Have any of you dealt with something like this before? What did you do? I'm open to any and all suggestions. Except of course, moving her out! :p

Bassinet setting on a pack n play works almost as well as a cosleeper for way less money.

We ran out of space fast in our double bed. We transitioned DD to sleep on a twin futon on the floor, around 6 months. I would usually end up there with her for most of the night to BF. Moved it to her little room next to ours around 8-9 months. Then we moved homes after she turned 1 and now she has a queen mattress on the floor in her room, soooo luxurious when I cosleep with her lol. DH does not cosleep with her anymore since she left our bed but he gets me for the first stretch of the night and naps with her on weekends.

Well, unfortunately our pack n play is the ultra simple kind, and has no accessories. Also our bedroom is rather small, so when the baby's big enough to sleep in there, it's going to have sit right in front of bathroom door. Not the best get up in the world, but maybe we'll be living somewhere else by then. I have considered putting our mattress on the floor when we move, but we still won't have anything to add to it to give DD her space.

We made our own "side car" sort of thing out of our crib/toddler bed combo. Its one that's built so you can take off the front and convert it to a toddler bed. Instead of adding the little railings we just pushed it up against our bed and it worked great! It works best with a simple bed frame so there's no gap Btwn your mattresses.
