Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of September 10th
This thread is for women that have children who are trying to have more and struggling with infertility (IF). You fall into the IF category if you have been trying for more than a year or if you have known fertility issues. Some have secondary IF and some have primary IF. Some of us are TTC naturally and some need treatments of some type. All are welcome!

We also have women who are praying to make it. Due to prior losses or IF they don't feel like they should join a due date board till after the first 12 weeks. We are truly happy to support you as you transition. Please just keep in mind that we are a group of woman struggling with IF and be sensitive to that as you post. If you put a pregnancy ticker or smiley in your signature, please turn off your signature when you post in this thread. Thank you!

Please note: When your information needs to be updated, please highlight the area that needs to be updated. This will make it easier for me to update you. :goodvibes:

If you'd like to be added please post your info using the format below. Please note: I remove names if you are inactive for one month. This really helps keep the list more manageable, if you would like to be added back, just repost your info. :D

AFM - CD 1 was yesterday and I called RE but missed them at the office. On call DR called me back and said to call office in the morning. Since she did not have my chart and wasnt my regular DR, she was not sure what he would want to do this cycle. But agreed that he would likely want to move to injectibles. I call the office this morning and talk to my nurse. She says, there is not time to order the injectibles since they would need to start tomorrow. And set up a phone conference with the RE on Tuesday for me.

I am so mad!!! I had to skip last cycle to have a sono-hsg. Told the RE that I definitely wanted to do something the next cycle. He told me that the test was all clear and to call CD 1. I do, expecting them to have the plan ready so we can get the meds, etc but they dont. So I took the stupid Provera for NOTHING!! I hate that stuff and only took it so we could move on to another cycle but now the nurse tells me that the RE is probably gonna want me to lose an additional 10 -15 lbs before we do an injectible cycle. I have been working by but off for months and have lost 15 lbs already but I had really expected to be doing a cycle now. If I had known all this, I would have not taken the provera and waited to get a natural period. Not point in getting AF now if I have to wait anyway.
I spent the whole morning crying and now I have 3 birthday parties to go to today. One at 2, 4 and 7. I am not in the mood at all and just wanna crawl into bed and hide!!!!!

- This would make me fuming too! I can't believe they are doing that to you! I don't see what 10-15 lbs is really going to accomplish for you. It is not like you can get to a certain weight and it is a magic number where you will suddenly get pregnant! Yes we all need to be exactly 135.7 pounds before we get pregnant. If we are 135.6 or 135.8 then too bad! :giggle2: I hope you get answers tomorrow!

I thought with progesterone I'd have to stop it to get AF... So I guess I'll continue it till I hear otherwise...

Oh no!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead: I thought for SURE you were going to get pregnant this month!!! How could this happen??? I hope you get answers soon! You definitely deserve that! :hugs: :bighug:

Re: Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of September 10th
Good luck Jennifer, I'll be routing for you!

AFM, back to work today. Don't really want to be here, it's going to take a lot of effort to be patient and not let the kids know how I'm feeling. I'm usually pretty good at compartmentalizing when I'm at work, but I konw I'm in for a struggle today. Luckily I had planned for the possibility of a Sub so I have an easy lesson planned. Have to try calling the RE one more time today just to make sure the plan is to wait a month before we do testing. He told me this month (even knowing my test was +) but his nurse is saying no wait a month. And then I still need to know when I'm suppose to have a repeat HCG to see if we're back down to 0 yet.

Re: Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of September 10th
I told you ladies a while ago that I was going to sew myself new mama cloth. I've had a huge mental block because to me it was like admitting defeat. Well, over the weekend I finally did it. It's not defeat, but it is turning into a much longer journey than I'd been hoping for and so I want to have enough to be comfy. Here's my craft thread to show them off: It's kind of healing actually to do something that I"ve been putting off for so long.

Re: Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of September 10th
It took a lot for me to finally do those and not feel like I was giving up on my body, so yes, I"m pretty darn proud of them. On the medical front, feeling some better physically today, but emotionally today has been a lot of up and down. Had to go for another blood draw today to find out if I can have my CD 3 testing done tomorrow, hcg is at a 6 and they needed it at a 0 to do the testing. So I'm suppose to go in again in a week and see if it is down to 0 yet. So all testing will have to wait until next month now. I just feel so behind. If I had just gone when my dr tried to refer me last year maybe none of this would have happened. I just felt like it worked with my son with just my regular OB so surely it would work again. Maybe my son was the miracle fluke and wasn't suppose to happen. IDK, I just am really feeling down about all of this today and not sure I"m up to taking the next step. It really does help me to know what you guys who are further into the process are going through. Honestly, I'm scared half to death of all these tests they want to run. I just have no clue what to expect.

BTW, Jennifer, where are you? How did the transfer go?

JCPACandMommy 09-10-2012 10:40 PM

Well mamas I had my Ultrasound to check lining and antrafollicles and RE says it looks good also ha an estradiol level drawn but no results from it yet! Upped my Follistem to 100u this time around instead of 75 like last time! FX it works this cycle!
On another note DH and I talked and we are done with IUI for a while and will just do good ol BDing! It was a mutual decision based primarily on cost right now and the fact it really only increases our odds if at all by 10%....
Have repeat follicle check Saturday!

Slimy love the mama cloth!! Hope u can heal emotionally quickly mama!

How did transfer go Jennifer? Thinking about you!

Hope4More 09-11-2012 05:46 AM

Slimy: we've all had that feeling- I hope you heal quickly and the docs get their act together for you soon!

Jennifer- how'd the transfer go?

Melmonkey: been thinking of you lately. Hugs.

Afm: I ovulated within the last two days. I'm excited to get crosshairs to finish off my monitor experiment. We did all we could with dh out of town, so I'll just keep my fingers crossed and see what happens. I'm hopeful, but not overly optimistic considering the dtd schedule Pre-o. We'll see...

Re: Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of September 10th
slimy72 - Wow you did a GREAT job with those!! I think we know what you should do if you need extra money! I would totally buy some if I needed any.

You actually are not pregnant if your under 5. So they were really splitting hairs with you! :nono: I am sorry your going through this! After my miscarriage of Baby D (September of 2007). I was at a beta of 25 at my first AF (the baby miscarried at 9 weeks). I was so furious!! :banghead: It took till the next AF a month later for me to FINALLY get under 5. I thought it was REALLY odd as I had a d&c but that was how it was to be. I certainly know what it is like to feel like you have no control over your body and how you feel like your body wants to be pregnant as much as the rest of you! :hugs:

JCPACandMommy - Good luck with your new game plan! It sounds like it should be a winner!

Hope4More - I hope you get your miracle baby this month! You certainly were very prepared to ovulate with all that you did! What were your results? Did you like one method better then the other?

AFM - Sorry I didn't post here. I posted on my thread in the Sensitive subjects board. Here are the compulations of those:

I am back. We didn't loose anyone in the thaw :yay: so I still have 2 embryos frozen. Baby J was transferred. This baby I thought would be transferred last time. He/she was even hatching!! Beta test on 9/21. Will post photo on blog tomorrow.

I have a great feeling about the baby!!

Thank you everyone!

This evening a little bit of doubt got into me. What if this wasn't right or that? Then I looked at my photo of the embryo and I wonder if I am going to get identicals. Oh what a crazy ride!! I mentioned the identicals to DH and I don't think he turned that white with the news of the triplets (on ultrasound)! I think everyone around me would be but I would just see it as Gods will.

You will see what I mean about the embryo when I post it tomorrow.
Then this morning:

Okay I scanned him or her in! I posted it on my blog if you want to see: I included the before the freeze and after the freeze photos.

Can you see now why I wonder if this will become identicals? :nervous:
