Question regarding soaking

Might be a silly question so pls don't laugh!

If you have a W/D, why would you soak cloths in the tub? Wouldn't it be easier to just do an overnite soak in the washer and just do a pre-rinse before you wash them in the morning? As opposed to have to rinse and ring by hand and then wash out the tub??
Thanks!!

My washer doesnt have a "soak" feature so I would have to use a bucket to soak. Not sure what type of soak you're referring to, but that's the first thing that came to my mind.. Hth!

From my iPhone, probably while BF'ing.

I'm referring to either soaking for stench or for poopy diapers if I forget a liner. Currently we use a laundromat but will have our own W/D soon and so I'm just trying to understand why people use their tubs to soak when they could do a before rinse right before a normal wash. I hate tub soaking and can't wait to soak in the washer!

Re: Question regarding soaking

Any time I want to soak any laundry for a while, I just start a regular load (as our bare bones basic top loader doesn't have ANY "fancy" features), but leave the lid open. It'll agitate and then just soak until I close the lid again. Then it'll drain, rinse, etc.

I use a bucket to soak. For one my washer will not do stright hot, my washer does not have a soak option if you unlock the lid the water will drian in 10 minutes.
