My kids want to be spacemen...and I need to clarify whether that means astronauts or aliens LOL! And I need to figure out how to make helmets.

I didn't sew this but I can take a picture of how the helmet was made if would that would help you.

I only have the wings and the belt to make to finish my DD's costume. Well I also have to decide if I want to shorten the skirt because it's floor length at the moment

Still deciding what they'll be :giggle2:

Either batman and robin or fireman and puppy.

DD is being pinkie pie from my little pony.

I am cheating a bit though, I bought a pink shirt which I am going to paint the balloons on.

I bought an inexpensive pettiskirt where I am sewing on the tail. The tail is only made from tulle and is detachable from the pettiskirt (so dd can reuse the skirt all year long). Basically all I am doing is sewing on a belt loop on the pettiskirt and the tail is being attached with a key ring. The shirt will hopefully hide the actual key ring and the tail will be super long.

I am taking some of her old shoes and I bought pink glitter spray paint. After those dry I'm going to paint the balloons on there too.

I haven't finished the ears yet (technically I haven't finished anything... most of it is in pieces on my craft table), I'm probably just going to make them as a headband attachment.

And if I get time I'm going to make leggings for the costume too since it'll probably be very very cold here on Halloween and so far the whole costume is geared towards warmer climate, but at least I have a pink coat she can wear outside.

Once I actually finish a lot more of it, I'll have her wear it so I can snap a quick picture.

Oooh, great idea! I am still trying to figure out what the girls are going to be this year. I've been making a lot of dress-up clothes so we have a few options to choose from. :)

Here is what I have so far:

I made them little red riding hood cloaks too but I don't have pictures of those yet.

WOW that is REALLY COOL! I didn't even think about looking for shiny fabric. Thank you for posting that, I would really appreciate it if you had time to take a couple more helmet shots :loveit:
