Help me pick a bridesmaid dress

My bro is getting married June 23 and I am a bridesmaid. So that's about 2 months post baby. The only requirements for the dress are black and short. All the other girls have bought through David's so I figure I should stick there, too. I was thinking something that's easy to nurse in since baby will be with us the whole night (with the exception of the wedding). I also have no idea how big I will be when this is all over. With DS I was able to fit back in my regular uniform by 2 months, but that doesnt mean I would have looked good in a regular dress!

So tell me what you think.

This was going to be my dress before I got pregnant. Thinking its a "no" now (happy, but sad sigh ;) )

Hmm... they're all really pretty! And I really love that she just gave a general color/length request - it'll look so nice, but not all matchy-matchy

It really all depends on how big your boobs are at that point! For myself, knowing what size my chest is a couple months pp while nursing, I would go with the first one - simple, pretty, and the way the top crosses over should make it all right to slip aside for nursing. I think? Maybe it doesn't move the way I'm guessing from the pics.

The 2nd one is really nice... but I think you'd have to untie the halter for nursing - which would leave both sides falling down/exposed!
The 3rd one (the one you were thinking about before) looks like it wouldn't be nursing friendly at all, unfortunately.

Oh - and you'd have to consider a nursing bra with those too, right? In that case, the halter may not work at all, but that first one has nice wide shoulders (not in a bad way, in a cover-the-bra-straps way!).

I don't really love any of them. But out of the three, I would pick the first one.

sneaking in from the March group...

I like the first one for post baby and it seems nursing bra friendly. Honestly, I would wait to buy the dress, the nice thing about Davids is you can buy off the rack so you could get the dress a month before the event. OR you could try it on now and hope you are down to about the size you are now by the time the wedding rolls around.

I have the same issue, my sister is getting married in July and I am due in March. She has yet to plan ANYTHING so we will see how it all goes. I am taking my measurements now before I get too big just in case.

Number 1! But you can definitely wait, there will even be prom/evening dresses out around April/May, right?

Thanks ladies! I was thinking the first one, too.

I think my SIL-to-be might flip out if I waited... I am the only maid who hasnt ordered yet. She seems pretty calm, but I dont see her very often and would hate to start things off wrong. Maybe I will run it by my mom.

I would explain things to her and let her know that you will make sure to get a dress that meets her wants, but that ordering it now may end up still meaning shopping for another one come wedding time. It's so hard to know what your body is going to do/look like pp! Hopefully she'll understand that.

:crossfingers: for ya!
I definitely could not wear that pp. I'd be either falling out all over the place (if my breasts were full) or the thing would be slipping down constantly (if I'd just nursed).
