gcloth

I was just gifted a bunch of gdiapers and gcloth. I dont plan on using the gdiaper cover things but am curious if the gcloth is worth using? Does it absorb well? what is it made of?

I have been using it with my 3 month old since he was born... It is made of hemp and microfleece. It works just fine. I would say it is not as absorbant as the microfiber so you will need to change more frequent. But it keeps baby dry and cleans up awesome with minimal effort.

I love gcloth for stuffing my pockets. I find it stays in place better than most inserts (rather than bunching up and getting squashed to one side or the other) as it's got a bit of structure to it.

Sure they can, just put the hemp side against whatever your main soaker will be.

I use gcloth over a trifolded prefold in a Flip cover for our nighttime diaper. It works great! The micro fleece keeps DS feeling dry and the hemp side offers more absorbency. DS is almost 4 months and I don't have to change his diaper at night.

they are only two layers of absorbent fabric, so for much of a heavy wetter they won't last, but we use them for a night doubler too. since there are two layers of microfleece they keep baby really dry.
