Line drying: your favorite prefolds
Hello Line Dryers!
I love my GMD prefolds (and will probably just go with them anyway) but is there a softer prefold out there? On windy days, GMDs soften up, but on hot, dry days they get super stiff and crunchy.

Any recommendations?

Can you tumble dry the last 10 mins or so? It would help keep them soft.
The only prefold I had that were soft right off the line were panda tushies bamboo terry prefolds.

That's the issue with line drying in general. It isn't really about the prefolds themselves but the line drying. You can use a fleece liner for baby so that it still manages to feel soft though. My son never really complained about rough prefolds though.

Any cotton that I line dry comes off the line crunchy, even if I put vinegar in the final rinse. I just throw the whole load into the dryer for about 10-20 minutes with a couple of damp wipes to soften things up. My prefolds are GMD, Diaper Rite, OsoCozy, and Econobums with a mix of bleached and unbleached.
