:welcome:
This group is designed for those of us over 30 yrs of age. We have a different TTC journey than our younger counterparts & many of us encounter challenges along the way to our coveted BFP. We invite all to join us as we offer advice, support & encouragement to each other thru these challenges, as well as celebrating those joyful BFPs. :bliss: While this thread is not necessarily labeled as a "struggling TTC" thread, we do ask that if you choose to join us that you remain mindful of the challenges that many of our members are experiencing when posting about BFPs. We are excited to celebrate everyone's BFP, though it can often be a sensitive issue for those for whom it has not been so easy. :goodvibes: We  hearing from our graduates & hope you are having a HH9M!!! But we ask that you please take the time to catch up on posts, taking note of current losses before posting your pregnancy updates. If any of our sweet mommas are experiencing a loss in the current thread, please consider posting your updates at a different time. :goodvibes: I'll try to update your status daily, but let me know if I missed you! If I don't hear from you for a few weeks I'll take you off the list. Just post with an update to be re-added. Question of the week:Do you live in the city or the country? What do like & dislike about it? Anyone can answer the question! And if you have suggestions for the QOTW send me a PM. :) In RED, tell me: Your handle (and your name and/or age if you'd like) Where you are in your cycle or if you're waiting for AF to return Whether you are actively TTC or waiting right now. **I will look for a change in your status in red throughout the week.** :headscratch:NEED UPDATES : mommyfrog (Jeanie) age 37 Jubilee (Sarah) age 31 jesajane (Joy) age 35 Savagemamma (Pam) age 32 :waiting:WAITING TO O :waiting: Love4leon (Rebecca) age 37 sasra_nu (Sarah) age 32 discgolfnmom (Mandi) age 31 mvp529 (Misty) age 35 hokoonchi (Camilla) age 30 mixed_chica (Purly) age 30 c&w's mama age 36 craigwick (Heidi) age 32 tedcgh (Tiffany) age 30 momto2princesses (Kirra) age 33 TonyKariTony (Karina) age 33 Mamatoabunch (Annabelle) age 38  :babydust:TWO WEEK WAIT :babydust:  812ajack (Alicia) age 35 BFP 10/11 :lostit: willownz (Helen) age 32 BFP 10/3 :yay: JCPACandMommy (Carissa) age 31 BFP 10/2 :lostit: NewbieSAHM (Amber) age 31 Leaner age 34 BFP 10/9 :yay: happymom (Beth) age 35 ardeur (Jessie) age 30 SpartyGuard (Sarah) 32 beckstar (Becky) age 37 TinaDeanette (Tina) age 30 Missydawn (Missy) age 31 MyGloryLife (Minda) age 33 carlycurry (Carly) age 30 photocat (Cat) age 39 geetabean (Gina) age 32 :goodvibes:NTNP :goodvibes: Augusthope (Rachel) age 31 Craftin'Diva (Jeri) age 31 sydjackmom (Laura) Rachelrhin0 (30) HeatherMac603 (Heather) age 30 cormama (Corinne) age 35 Maddalena (April) age 37 fishingfor5 (Tori) age 40 :cheer: CHEERLEADERS :cheer: carriek38 (Carrie) age 33 katiecornflakes (Kate) age 31 Slyfox (Robin) age 40 kricket24 (Kristen) age 30 leviandgarettsmom (Deanna) age 40 Kap7270 (Kristin) age 35 newmommy13 (Ingrid) age 31 Mirnavela (Monika) age 30 Layney82 age 30 Bee21 age 30 tandiwe76 age 35 pnutandmunchkin :preggo:GRADUATES :preggo: Scrapandsewon (Nichole)EDD 6/18/12 rosenfried2 (Amanda) age 32 EDD 7/18/12 Steenerson7 (Tawnya) age 37 EDD 8/26/12 trammellyfamily (Erin) age 32 EDD 9/7/12 omahonycm (Marie) EDD 9/8/12 Fluffybunsdiapers (Alicia) age 30 EDD 9/15/12 daddyn4wisechix (Erica) Age 38 EDD 9/14/12 QHoneyB (Honey) age 32 EDD 9/20/12 OldandNew (Griffin) age 32 EDD 9/25/12 Sheaholt (Shea) age 31 EDD 10/12 Kymdenise (Kim) EDD 10/8/12 faithandhope (Tiffany) age 35 EDD 10/22/12 MomdeIsla (Michelle) age 36 EDD 10/21/12 Sageac (Sage) age 30 EDD 10/27/12 Joyful Tie Dyes (Leslie) age 40 EDD 11/4/12 MrsA08 (Suzy) age 30 EDD 11/12/12 fitbaby1 (Chris) age 32 EDD 11/25/12 sparkygirl74 (Shannon) [COLOR="red"EDD 11/30/12[/COLOR] taralynnel (Tara) age 35 EDD 11/11/12 shastalocke (Shasta) age 33 EDD 12/05/12 My2sweets age 31 EDD 12/21/12 Harmony96 (Andrea) age 33 EDD 12/27/12 american_mommy (Tammy) age 35 EDD 1/24/13 cristy_1996 age 33 EDD 1/24/13 newtocloth2 (Andrea) age 31 EDD 2/10/13 My_Tree_Grows age 30 EDD 2/13/13 yellowdog (Amanda) age 37 EDD 3/1/13 TS8213 (Trace) age 31 EDD 3/7/13 Christylkeller (Christy) age 36 EDD 3/15/13 hcokasil (Lisa) age 32 EDD 3/15/13 amb2j (April) age 30 EDD 3/10/13 amcess721 (Andrea) age 31 EDD 3/25/13 rverrone (Rina) age 33 EDD 4/5/13 Sylvie89 (Kaycie) age 37EDD 5/1/13 adensmom (Latisa) age 36 EDD 5/27/13 Elsie Cayare (Lindsey) age 30 EDD 6/2/13 babygirls2 (Kim) age 31 EDD 6/4/13 txmommytobe age34 EDD 6/6/13 Click here to see common acronyms used in this thread. Re: TTC 30+ Oct. 8-Oct. 14
Yay, new week, new thread.... :yay:
Question for all the tempers/charters: I woke up at 5 am today because I had to pee... so before getting up I took my temp and got 97.12, went back to bed until 7 am and took my temp again then because 7 am is my usual temping time... at 7 am I got 97.27 -- I figured it was best to input the first temp at 5 am and just note the time I took it instead of 7 since the one at 5 am had the most sleep before I took that temp... right? My temp went down a little bit, but not by much from yesterday's temp... if I had slept uninterrupted until 7 would it have been higher you think? Now I'm wondering if I did O on the 16th and my stupid bladder messed today's temp all up! :banghead: QOTW: I kind of live in both... I guess... We are about 15-20 minutes from Tampa city limits, but we live far enough out that we are all around cow pastures, etc. making us basically more in the suburbs. I don't dislike anything about it because we have more than enough restaurants and stores here in our town without the hectic traffic and forever-long stop lights that are in Tampa. |
Same thing here with the chart and temperature. Woke up at 5 to pee. Temp of 97.56. 7 am temp of 97.79. Hmmm.... What to do? I

Re: TTC 30+ Oct. 8-Oct. 14
I've always gone with the first temp in those situations, not sure is that is the correct thing to do, and then noted the time.
Cat - knowing about AF before hand is a downer for sure, those mornings when I read the thermometer when my temp freefalls are a pain, though I could see if I wasn't TTC it would come in handy to have advanced warning! QOTW - hmmm, not sure what you would call where I live (town of around 1500 people) because to me living in the country means you are on a farm, which we aren't. The thing I like and dislike is that everyone knows everyone else and their business. I like that my kids will have more freedom than if we lived in a big city, but I miss the convenience of being in a city. |
Re: TTC 30+ Oct. 8-Oct. 14
Oh, and something odd...I realized the other day that both of my kids were conceived in November...perhaps that is my only fertile time of year (and if I O on CD 21/22 like I have been it puts me pretty darn close to November!). Just my positive thought for today, really feeling crap about this whole TTC thing.

Re: TTC 30+ Oct. 8-Oct. 14
Hey there everybody  Tomorrow should be testing day (the first of many, probably :giggle2:). I think this cycle is the first where I've been scared to test for fear of a bfn. I've been feeling "off" for a few days & haven't gotten sick yet, but I so don't want to be let down. Anyway, tomorrow will tell, eh?
QOTW--I've never lived in a major metro area, but I do live outside of a small city. I think all settings have their benefits, KWIM? When we lived in our small city, the access to everything from restaurants to libraries to colleges to medical care was great, and miss that & how vibrant everything is in a city...I don't miss the crime. I grew up rural. It's beautiful & I loved that I could breathe & that you could do your own thing w/o people being on top of you. I didn't love that I needed a car to get everywhere & I didn't love how difficult to live in the country it could be when the weather gets bad. Now I live in a Stepford-ville suburban housing tract & I'm pretty sure my soul dies a little every day I live there. I understand why people choose to move there, it's just not for us b/c, no matter what I do, I cannot keep up with the Jonses :giggle2: The best place we ever were was [in a rented duplex] on a farm that was at the edge of, but still within, village limits...and it was only about 4 miles from all the major shopping centers. It was a great combination of rural & more populous living. In fact, I've asked family, if DP & I are able to stay in the area, whether they'd consider selling us the property, b/c it's a really nice fit for us...and I'd lease the farmland attached. |
