Diapers on too tight?

Hi all

I'm a first time poster. My wife and I are cloth diapering our son. He is six days old, so we are starting with Grovia AIO and Lil' Joey AIO (both newborn size). Whenever I remove the diaper, he has indentations on his legs from the gusset and below his belly button. He is only 8 lbs, so I assume these newborn diapers should fit. I want to make sure I'm not hurting him or doing something wrong. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

Nick

I found that most covers as diaperseft marks on my dd.

We switched to Imse Vimse covers, and wool, thy seemed to be the only ones that did not leave marks. (that was 5 years ago so there may be more now lol)
