Poll: which boy name do you like better?
 

A little background:

William is the name of someone very near and dear to me.

Scott is DH's middle name.

Jacob is a name DH and I both like.

I think William Scott flows better.

I chose William Scott but I kind of like Jacob Scott too:)

I didn't vote bc I genuinely like both names. I would ask myself how I felt about nicknames ( Bill, Billy, Will, Willie, Liam, Jake). If you really like or dislike on of the nicknames I would be vigilant about steering the nickname usage by calling him his preferred nickname or given name consistently.

LOL. That was DH's idea, too. :giggle:

All 3 of my kids just have one first name and one middle name.

I'm not really a fan of 2 middle names. :blush:

I voted William Scott on the sole reason that 'Team Jacob' is pretty popular in your child's generation of peers. It's likely to be overused.

William, on the other hand, is less popular, but still quite nice.
