Basically it's Monday

We are a group of parents that chat and support each other.
We have been at this for a while so some of us are out of the diapering stage.
...some were out and are back in again.
Every once in a while we actually get to answer a diaper question or two in here.
If you are looking for a very diverse and open group come on over and chat.

Janine, I always err on the side of caution with sports when they are sickish.

Honestly it's the first time a doctor has said that to us. Usually it's they can go on as normal in 24 hours. That they aren't going to pass anything on to anyone after then.

Today seems to be very odd.

The kids were all in their beds asleep when I went to get them up...never happens!
They got ready without hurting each other...Also never happens!
I managed to make sure they have everything they need...happens most of the time but with the other stuff going so well I wasn't expecting that to happen too.

Now I'm baking. I have a double batch of Banana everything (walnut and chocolate chip) cookies in the oven and a loaf of Honey-Oat bread in the Römer bread pan rising ready to bake when the cookies are done.

(In all honesty I do feel a bit out of it this morning and really did have to concentrate quite hard to do the baking.)

As I was sitting here typing this I thought I really should make Cami a batch of GF cookies too....and then the alarm beeped that the cookies were done.

Off I went to take them out of the oven...see my bread hasn't risen enough so I am now baking a batch of GF (also EF) cookies.

Bread and cookies are all done. I'm off to bed for a sleep.
I hope I'm a bit more with it when I wake up.

I am up. I have load of laundry to start but other than that I have a quiet morning ahead. Dinner is easy and needs no morning prep. I have my lunch ready to go from last night. The house is clean. I think I will bundle up and go for a walk.

Is it really Monday morning already? Why??? :giggle:

I am tired. Had some insomnia last night. Not as bad as on Saturday, but still there. I may have a quick nap when I get home from school today, before making soup for when Ru and E get home from dancing.

Thanks for the link Jess (and Janine). I will have to look through it!

Re: Basically it's Monday

Morning mamas. :needcoffee: :needcoffee: :needcoffee: I also had a rough night. We had a very windy storm, and I was sure either our storm covers (or whatever you call the glass screens you put over the windows in winter are) would fly off or a limb would come through the windows. Specifically the window right next to Ian's head. The covers are original to the house so they are barely hanging on. And we don't have a ladder high enough to check the second story ones to see if they are put on properly anyway, even if we knew how to check. So I was waking up every hour or less having a mini panic attack every time I heard a loud rattle or something impact into the house.

But my TV has not exploded :giggle2: although my Tivo keeps randomly rebooting throughout the day. Nobody had a test today i know of, nobody got injured getting ready for school, and DH actually fixed the kids' breakfast and let me sleep in a little. Took them to the bus stop this morning. I've got a fully dressed and fed Ian next to me on the couch, and we don't leave for swim lessons for an hour.

This could actually be a really good day! ;)
