Hi everyone, I'd love to join this board. My name is Katie and I am a 30 year old expecting my 3rd LO in February. DH, Jason and I have been married for 6 years and we have Kiley who will be 4 in November and Kira who is 17 months. I was somewhat hesitant to join this board (or tell many people of my pregnancy) because of my experience with Kira. My labor and delivery went very well, and after 16 minutes of pushing I delivered my beautiful, perfect, and I thought healthy baby girl. 3 hours later though she stopped breathing. It was discovered that she had a cerebral hemorrhage 2 days after birth. She was having seizures, and had had a stroke which thankfully affected only the left temporal lobe of her brain. She spent 18 days in the NICU. Within 6 months she was off of the phenobarbitol for her seizures and within 9 months she was developmentally appropriate according to her pediatrician. We are very blessed :).

Welcome to the board! We are glad to have you! I'm sorry to hear about the circumstances with your last baby but is excellent that all is well now!
I'm Andrea, also 30 expecting #2. DS will be 3 this week.

Hurrah, a new mama! Welcome to the DDC! It hasn't been super active around here, lately. I think people may be chatting on FB instead, but I'm not so I don't know for sure. :)
