A ribbon blankie
 

Stumbled upon a tutorial this morning and decided it was easy enough for me to do. The ribbons aren't placed perfectly but whatever. I figure its a newby mistake. I'm still proud of it!

And I'm excited because I have a few friends who are expecting and now I have something I can make for them! I think I'll move the ribbons to the sides though instead. ;)

Very cute :) I have made some of these for my LO and for friends. I definitely think the ribbons on the side hold better long term. I like to add silky ribbons too, my kids have preferred those over the other types!

Thank you for the advice. I am a VERRRRY new sewer so I haven't figured a lot of things out yet. :blush:

Lol well I would not label myself an "experienced" sewer by any means! But I have made a couple of these :) I will try to post pics later today if I can get them to load! I have done "strips" and "blocks" for the front and initials too. Might give you some more ideas :)

As you can see it was well loved for a couple years before it was given up :) Some of the favorited taggies are missing. The back is fleece.

This one is also in the process of being well loved lol! I replaced a couple of the more favorite taggies and repaired a seam today. The back of this one is minky.

Both backs to these will be minky as well.

I like to use different fabrics for the squares and the tags, because you never know what "feel" they will like best :)

Those are great!! Love the blue zoo and owlies! Good point about the different textures, I will try that!
