Bread pans? Favorite??

Since winter is soon upon us, I want to start making our own bread. I am one of those to freak when the weather guy says there is going to be a snow storm. Well, everyone in town does and the bread and milk fly off the shelves. Thankfully this year, I am going to be making my own bread and we will have meals in the freezer too.

Question is, what is your favorite bread pan to use? I shop at bed bath and beyond, Target, Kohls and Kmart.

Also, favorite recipe? Nothing fancy.

Yeah I basically love either the coated pans, or the glass. I love glass because there is no real errror as you can see the bread browning best :)

As for recipes, I go to recipes.com and I do like the "traditional bread" recipes, and also the "amish white bread" recipe with the exception that on the amish bread I cut the sugar in 1/2 as they ask for so much and it's too sweet for my hubby. I like the sweet bread, but not him!

These are the BEST bread pans EVER. My mom has had her set for more than 15 years and they still look brand new. They are great for any type of bread, especially sticky dessert breads. Even if you forget nonstick spray! Whatever you baked pops right out. I want to say you can find them online for around $8 apiece.

And this is my absolute favorite bread recipe. I make it at least every week. A single recipe (3 10" loaves) fits very easily in my 6 qt Kitchen Aid with the dough hook, but if you have one of these babies (http://www.pleasanthillgrain.com/mag...dlx_mixer.aspx) a triple recipe is no problem. :)

You can order the Norpro pans here: (this is actually the cheapest place I found them, plus this retailer has super cheap bread bags and other baking stuff) http://www.pleasanthillgrain.com/bak..._set_pans.aspx

HTH! :)

You both are awesome! Thanks!

I will be looking into the recipes and pans!

Can't wait to make this house smell of yummy bread since the weather is turning colder! My kids can help too!

I love the Le Creuset bread pans. I think I found one of them at TJ Maxx. The King Arthur flour website has lots of great recipes. :)
