Paypal question
I am new to DS and just had a question about buying diapers. I have one lined up that I want to purchase, set up my Paypal account, but am confused about something. The Paypal tutorial info says "PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IF YOU SEND PAYPAL USING THE PERSONAL TAB, YOU THE BUYER, WILL NOT BE COVERED IN THE EVENT THAT THE PACKAGE IS NOT MAILED OR IS LOST! You cannot file a paypal claim if you have paid using the personal tab."

Does this mean that I need to set up a Paypal Business account and not a personal account?

Also, having never used Paypal, do I just send the money or does it work like a gift card (sort of) where you have to load it with a set amount first and then send it?

Thanks so much!

You don't want to send it as a "gift". That's what they mean isn't covered. You want to send it as "goods" and you'll have buyer protection.

You don't have to add money to it, though you could. It can get directly taken out of your checking account or if you have a credit card linked to your account, you can have it taken out of there.

Re: Paypal question
When u send invoice or just send money I gives u option to send personal ( like to fanily & not paypal protected) or via goods/services/etc (covered under protection). Goods/services u pay fees but personal doesn't get charged fees. When u do any transactions I would say not personal. It doesn't have anything to do with personal or business account. Personal is just to buy. Business is to sell items like on ebay & that u can get payments from those.

Re: Paypal question
I never send money as a gift unless its to someone that I actually know.
